Hi Guys
During the course of the month of April, it is the time when I promote my service in the hope of attracting some new members. I don't go mad because sending out emails and recruiting can have an adverse effect on my work load. With that in mind, I'm not taking on too many new members, but I thank the person who put my email on gg.com because it caused quite a stir and there were some interesting posts, and it was made very clear by some seasoned posters that paying for information is a low life way of making money. Yet I picked up 6 new members, because love me or hate me there are guys out there who make a stack of cash following tipsters and are quite happy to pay, because it saves them doing the work. In fact a few of my members are not even the slightest bit interested in horse racing and see it purely as a method of making money. I have been in this profession for a long time and often it's the person who has low expectations, is the ones who enjoy it most. I base my whole service on low expectations, simply because my strike rate is low, and I try to get that across to my new members every year, that they must stick with it, and back within your means. Believe me when the profit comes, I will adjust my stakes accordingly which in turn will increase members profit. I noticed on the GG message board that there are people who hate tipsters, and they make angry posts. It's quite sad really. I'm not the enemy, the bookies should really be the enemy because they are the ones trying to take our money but many people take the pessimistic route. I will never understand why??
One thing I do know though is that a winner will rarely be unhappy about anything and the last thing he would do is criticise someone for bad grammar. I found that hilarious. Having bad grammar does mean I'm not proficient at other things. When I was at school I was good at maths and lousy at English, but I gave 100% at everything I did, and when I see an opportunity I grasp it with both hands as if it was a lucrative treasure chest. However, when there is a reason to give the tipster a hard time, it is mainly the guy who cannot make money who will be my most serious critic, but if they stopped and looked at my results they could make a decent amount of money backing along side me, and still back there own information as well.
A good idea was mentioned by one forum member, in that tipsters should only be allowed to post on forums when the tipster can produce evidence going back 5 years. This of course would have to include the profit figures. Trouble is, this would mean that 90% of the tipsters would never be able post making it great for people like me who produces genuine profit every year. One of the comments made was "If I was any good I would back the horses to make money rather than be a tipster" This statement is just rediculous, it is because I make profit for people that I'm in this business. The worst feeling in the world is when a person loses and if I lost money for people, I would not do this job. I treat my website as an advert for my business, and in one my former profession in the catering industry I had 5 restaurants, should I just stop there, of course I wouldn't, I'd be looking to get more, or building an ice cream parlour and situating it next to one of my other businesses, in the same way that Successful Betting gives me opportunities.
I didn't post on their forum because I only use my own, but the member who posted won enough money to go and visit his mother in San Francisco who he hadn't seen for years. When he emailed me to tell me that I felt great. That is the part of the business I love and what makes it very rewarding mentally, and everyone should embrace that rather than accuse the guy of owning my website and come on to drum up trade. Get a life I'd say to the non believers and start thinking out of the box, winning opportunities don't come to you, you have to work at it, and put serious graft into your winner finding, but if you cannot or haven't the time, just give me a call.
Well enough of that, let me tell you what I've been doing. I looked at the Catterick card and found one opportunity, and it highlighted a pretty obvious reason why I should back it. Those of you who know how I operate will know that if a horse produces a decent performance, I note it for the future, together with a shortlist of potential winners from the race itself. If the horse finishes 2nd, I will assess the winner to guage the value of the form, and if the winner has produced good form, it is likely that the second is not far from a win. There is an example of this in the 2.20 Catterick where Meshardal will be a lot fitter after running 2nd to Poppy Bond who is a winner over multiple distances mainly on the All weather. So we can assume that it looked a good performance, having run so well after 301 days off the track. It even looked like winning at one point, so the form is ok. However, what makes this a bet is not just the form, it's a couple of other things, firstly, that non of the runners he is up against today has any up to date form. All the runners bar one (ours) have been off the track for ages, and secondly he is running of the same rating, and the race against Poppy Bond would have brought the horse on. So to me, Meshardal looks well handicapped when comparing his rating against the rest of the runners in the race. Remember winning form is the best kind of form, and if the opposition is mainly losing form or out of date form you have the makings of a bet that if everything goes to plan we should collect. This is likely to be backed at 100-30 is a very good price. I apologise if you find any mistakes or typo errors, but my mates call me Shakey and it takes me longer to use the mouse on the keyborad. Apart from that I'm fine
