Women in Agriculture: Campo Grande will host the 4th National Meeting of Women in Agribusiness in Campo Grande-MS

The 4th National Meeting of Women in Agribusiness will take place in Campo Grande (MS) on August 8th and 9th. The event will be held in a hybrid format, with participants able to participate either online or in person in the city of Campo Grande (MS), at the Glauce Rocha Theater (UFMS). Organized by the “Luiz de Queiroz” Study Group (GELQ), and led by undergraduate students from the “Luiz de Queiroz” School of Agriculture (ESALQ), and supervised by Professor Durval Dourado Neto.

The event will begin with a management-focused agenda, presenting a vision of continuous improvement within agribusiness, along with the Lean Method. After this agenda, there will be the presentation and official launch of the network of angel investors in agribusiness, which will be presented by speakers Aline Catiusce and Mayra Motta.

Also important topics, during the morning of the first day, the event will address topics such as people management and its impact on organizational culture, in addition to the influence of women in the workplace. In the afternoon, the event will begin with a topic focused on entrepreneurship, innovation and technology within agribusiness, in addition to the role of women in corporate agribusiness. To end the day, there will be a topic on the hidden importance of networking and collective work, and finally, a round table to discuss the topics discussed during the day. On the second day of the program, topics such as ESG, female leadership, inclusion and diversity will be addressed. The event was designed to provide women who are involved in the sector, or who intend to do so, with a space to exchange experiences and generate a network of contacts with the aim of fostering female participation within the sector, showing how far it is possible to go, and tools for personal development. This will be the first time that the event will be held in person, and to make this possible, the event will have sponsoring companies, with the diamond sponsor being Bracell, which is one of the leaders in the production of dissolving pulp, including special dissolving pulp; and the gold sponsors being Bayer, Raízen and EY Brazil.

The IV National Meeting of Women in Agribusiness stands out as an essential platform for promoting the exchange of experiences, strengthening contact networks and sharing knowledge among women working in the agricultural sector.

This event is more than just a meeting; it is a celebration of the vital role that women play in a traditionally male field, in addition to being a unique opportunity for networking and companionship.

The importance of formatting and holding meetings like this lies in their ability to empower participants, allowing them to share their stories, challenges and achievements. By bringing together professionals from different areas of agribusiness, the meeting creates an environment conducive to building partnerships, exchanging innovative ideas and solutions to common problems faced by women in the sector.

Furthermore, the 4th National Meeting of Women in Agribusiness highlights the need for greater female representation in decision-making and leadership of initiatives that directly impact agricultural production and sustainability. By giving visibility to the success stories and experiences of women who stand out in this field, the event helps to break down stereotypes and inspire the next generation of leaders in agribusiness.

With a rich and diverse program, the meeting promises to address fundamental topics, such as innovative technologies, sustainability issues, market challenges and the importance of mental health and well-being of rural workers. The lectures, workshops and round tables will provide a space for learning and reflection that can be applied in the daily lives of participants.

In short, the 4th National Meeting of Women in Agribusiness in Campo Grande (MS) will be an important milestone for strengthening the female presence in the agricultural sector. It is an invaluable opportunity for women to come together, share experiences and strengthen each other, thus contributing to a more inclusive and sustainable agribusiness. Promoting these initiatives is crucial to ensuring that women's voices are increasingly heard and respected in all spheres of agriculture.
