Just a few months ago, I learned that I got a perfect score on the AP Calculus AB exam. Before I knew it, the news of my score started spreading.
Then something surreal happened. I started getting texts from my friends showing a tweet from President Obama: "Cedrick; way to go on your perfect score! How about you come by the next White House Science Fair?"
I couldn’t believe it. But of course, I said yes. So today I'm at the White House, along with more than 130 top science, technology, engineering, and math students from across the country at an event to showcase some of their incredible science projects and discoveries.
The best part is that this event isn't just about the students here today -- it's about getting people all over the country involved and excited about science, math, and innovation.
You can also use the hashtag #WHScienceFair to be part of the conversation online.
A few months ago, I never would have dreamed I'd get to the White House. I can't wait to meet other students who are also passionate about science and math -- students who I'm sure will change the face of technology and help solve some of society's biggest problems, like fighting climate change and treating cancer.
I hope you're as excited as I am to be part of this inspiring day!
