Trade liberalization is a key component of Brazil’s reform agenda, and Minister Paulo Guedes promised new impetus in various fronts, including, possibly, unilateral tariff reductions. How existing trade terms will be revised, and how that will impact Brazil’s economic future is open for analysis.

Please join us for a panel discussion to explore a range of trade related issues. Gabriel Sanchez of the IDB will highlight existing trade agreements and how they could affect negotiations of new agreements. Hussein Kalout will consider how current trade policies has shaped the Brazilian economy and what could change with liberalization. Dan Ioschpe, Chairman of the Board of Iochpe-Maxion, will review the practical effects on exports and imports of existing trade agreements, and what the impact of any revisions might be. Laura Siegel Rabinowitz of Kelley Drye will provide an update on the proposed Brazil-U.S. free trade agreement.

All On The Line
Team --

Just moments ago, the U.S. Supreme Court issued a decision upholding fair districts in Virginia, in a suit supported by the National Redistricting Foundation, our 501(c)(3) affiliate.

The new, fair districts replaced 11 racially-gerrymandered districts that had been thrown out by the lower court. The new districts have already been used in Virginia's primary elections this month. Republicans had manipulated the old districts to pack African-American voters together and diminish their overall voting power, but that plan was struck down by the lower court, and today the Supreme Court left that decision in place.

This is a big win. It ensures that every Virginian has an equal voice in their government and that every vote counts. All On The Line is energized by today's victory for fairness, and is working hard to bring progress like this to every state -- with a grassroots movement of Americans who will stand up and fight for fair districts.

This fight is just getting started. Chip in to support All On The Line today.
