HYBRID SEMINAR
IN PERSON & ZOOM

Tuesday, December 14th
8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
(Eastern Time - U.S. and Canada)
The volume of Brazilian cryptocurrency trading has exploded with Brazilians acquiring consistently USD350mn in bitcoin each month and over USD4bn year-to-date in 2021. With the adoption of bitcoin as the official currency of El Salvador, Brazilian authorities are looking at cryptos with increasing scrutiny. The Chamber brings together a panel of experts to explore the growth and role of cryptocurrencies in Brazil, including their use in the payment system, decentralized finance and exchanges, and cryptocurrencies as a unique asset class. We will discuss the regulatory treatment of cryptos, including tax, securities, and banking – and examine how Brazilian regulation fits in and compares to international regulation, including that in the United States.
Join us in-person for networking and breakfastor via Zoom, for this informative and practical discussion.

Fine art Celau receives honor in São Paulo

Fine Art Celau receives honors in São Paulo.

Marcelo Celau Tavares, affectionately known as Celau, born in Ipiaú, 100 km from Ilhéus, Bahia, became well known in São Paulo for being an artist dedicated to Pop Art. Graduated in Tourism, the artist has always lived with art in the family. Self-taught, he explains that he creates his canvases with his perception and emotion, stating that there are always sad walls that need color. With a busy schedule for participation in events, used to giving interviews to television channels in the city of São Paulo, the artist became the artist of his product. Irreverent in visiting art galleries and covering the events that permeate this scenario, Celau has just been awarded the merit of his work, where he gained prominence in the visual artist category, through the event promoted by Rutinéiia Carvalho – President CBTUR Brasil – Brazilian Chamber of Tourism .
