This is scary, Sula. In 1982, 1986, 1990, and again in 2004, courts found “instances of
Republicans intimidating or working to exclude minority voters in the name of preventing fraud” and
banned the RNC’s so-called voter fraud operations.
But in 2018, a federal court gave them the go-ahead to start up again.
Now, according to
The New York Times, “the Republican Party, the Trump campaign, and conservative activists are mounting an
aggressive national effort to shape who gets to vote in November -- and whose ballots are counted.”
Let’s be clear: The voter fraud claims repeatedly put forward by Trump and his acolytes are “nonsense” according to experts. This is yet another effort by the GOP to unfairly skew elections in their favor -- this time by intimidating or excluding voters they don’t like.
The NDRC and its affiliates are committed to protecting our elections. Will you add your name to condemn Republican efforts to suppress the vote?
