I’m writing with good news and bad news in the fight for fair maps. If you’ll give me just a second, I’ll lay it all out for you -- but if you already know how crucial this moment is and you’d rather just pitch in right now to end GOP gerrymandering, you can do so here. I’ll start with the bad news: In a handful of states, Republicans have either passed or are on the verge of passing highly manipulated maps that are designed to lock in Republican majorities: In North Carolina, Republicans just passed maps that A.G. Holder said “are heavily manipulated in favor of their party.” In Ohio, Republicans have released maps that could give them 87% of seats in Congress, despite Trump only receiving 54% of the votes in 2020. In Texas, Republicans’ new maps added majority-white districts -- even though communities of color drove 95% of the state’s rapid population growth! PITCH IN TO FIGHT BACK Now here’s the good news: The NDRC is fighting back in more than a dozen battleground states, and we’re using all the tools at our disposal. We’re analyzing map proposals as they’re published, shining a light on officials who are manipulating redistricting for partisan gain, and mobilizing our grassroots supporters in favor of maps that fairly represent our communities. Chris Barreto opens exhibition in Brazil 

 The FIne Art Chris Barreto opens the exhibition "Bem perto dos sonhos"  in Guarapari - ES. ​​The Exhibition will be marked by a night of meeting with local writers at Espaço Tzion Fotografia.

The show will be marked by an autograph night with local writers, at the Cultural space Tzion
Photography, visual arts, literature and a lot of culture. The exhibition “Bem perto dos sonhos”, which brings together six local artists, takes place from November 11th to 30th, at Espaço Cultural Tzion Imóveis, in the center of Guarapari.
Among the artists are Ewelson Sodré, Chris Barreto, Roberto Almeida and Suely Mello. They present from paintings, prints, sculptures filled with the most classic artistic expressions such as oil on canvas, avant-garde, pop art and regionalism.

The exhibition is part of a process that seeks the artistic awakening in our city proposed by the organizers. The exhibition includes the exhibition of the artists' works collectively to present the movement that begins in the city. According to the creator of the exhibition, Rogério Nogarol, the realization is a proposed solution for the lack of a space dedicated to cultural production in the city.
