The Chamber, in partnership with King & Spalding LLP, is hosting an afternoon seminar and cocktail reception on dispute resolution hot topics. Litigation and arbitration experts from the United States and Brazil will tackle issues of interest in US litigation and discuss trends in Brazilian and international arbitration, including:
- The use of 28 United States Code Section 1782 to obtain evidence that may be used in Brazilian proceedings;
- The types of international disputes involving Brazilian parties;
- The latest developments in arbitrations involving the state and state entities in Brazil;
- The protection of international investments of Brazilian companies.
