LAST CHANCE!
Tuesday, February 26, 2019

The Bolsonaro administration has taken office and clearly stated its intention to liberalize the economy and pursue economic reform. Brazilian entrepreneurs are planning for new opportunities in a more dynamic economy. They are also aware that a deep and knowledgeable U.S. investor base is receptive to Brazilian start-ups, especially for financial technology. The combination of these factors is raising expectations for a resurgence of Brazilian IPO’s listing in the U.S.

Join us for a panel discussion to explore the factors that will drive the new issue market for Brazilian issuers, and expectations for 2019 and beyond. The distinguished panel includes a fintech that is contemplating the benefits of becoming public, a leading advisor to financial technology companies, and a seasoned investor in Brazilian technology start-ups. Brazilian and U.S. counsel will provide legal insights and considerations for companies considering a public offering.

Gremi International is planning the development of EcoEstrela, a luxury, ecological tourist resort on its fully owned beach front property in Baía Formosa (north-eastern Brazil). The project site covers an area of approximately 2,500 hectares and 6.5 km of coastline. It is currently the largest hospitality project under development in South America. This project has the potential to unlock Brazil’s under-developed tourist potential.

All On The Line

We are at a turning point in America.

Over the past few years, there has been a civic awakening and a renewal of activism in communities across the country. We've come together to demand that our political leaders protect access to health care, take steps to reduce the gun violence plaguing our schools and communities, and finally make long-sought changes to our criminal justice system.

We've made a lot of progress -- last fall, this nation elected a new class of political leaders who better represent the diversity and values of the American people. But too many of our efforts are still met by resistance from politicians who do not truly represent the will of the people. We need to make sure the citizen engagement of the past couple of years is not just a moment, but a movement for a better America.

That's why, starting today, we are launching the All On The Line campaign. Our mission is to restore fairness to our democracy and ensure every American has an equal say in our government. This campaign will be driven by you -- grassroots organizers who believe in the power of the people to make a lasting impact on your communities, your states, and our country.

Will you join us?

Together, we will raise awareness about how gerrymandering negatively impacts policies in state capitals and in Washington. For too long, politicians have been able to pick their voters, instead of allowing voters to choose their representatives. Gerrymandering rigs our elections so the party in power can't lose and it moves our policy debates away from rational solutions to the extremes.

There is no issue this work does not touch.

We need fair elections and a level playing field to help unlock progress on dealing with climate change, build on the gains we made under the Affordable Care Act, protect and expand the right to vote, and so many other issues that the American people support. All of these issues are truly on the line.

With fair maps and a more just electoral system, we can have leaders who are more likely to tackle the important issues facing our country and be more responsive to the needs and desires of the people they were elected to represent. And there is not a moment to waste. With the census in 2020 and redistricting in 2021, we have to start building our movement now.

With a belief that -- together -- we can shape the future, I'm confident that this movement will continue to fundamentally reshape American politics for the next decade or more. As we've seen throughout our history, progress is not guaranteed -- it only happens when people come together, demand it, and fight for it.

We'll be in touch in the days and weeks ahead with more details and ways for you to get involved. I look forward to joining you in this fight.

Join the team
