We have to fight for an election process that ensures people's safety amid the pandemic. -- A.G. Holder. DONATE TO THE DEMOCRACY PROTECTION FUND. border=

Let's recap, Sula:
FIRST Republicans waged a decade-long assault on voting rights with roll purges, discriminatory voter ID laws, and extreme gerrymanders (enabled by the Supreme Court).

THEN a public health emergency made social distancing a necessity to keep our communities safe -- but Republicans refused to expand absentee voting or delay the April 7 election in Wisconsin, forcing people to wait in line to vote during a pandemic.

NOW the NDRC is fighting back by building on our scope of work to protect voting rights and make sure every American can safely cast a ballot this November!
Will you pitch in to our Democracy Protection Fund to help us secure safe and fair elections in 2020?

We've spent the past three years executing our multi-pronged plan to end Republican gerrymandering, and that continues to be our core mission. But with COVID-19 making it harder to vote in person, we recognize that more has to be done.

That's why the NDRC and its affiliates will be working with partners to call on states to expand early and no-excuse absentee voting, allow online and same-day voter registration, provide safe and healthy polling places for those who prefer to cast their ballots in person, and increase voter education. We need to make sure during this historic pandemic that every request for a ballot is honored and every vote counts.

But we're counting on YOU to help us raise the resources we need. So if you're able, will you make a donation to our Democracy Protection Fund right now to help us protect every American's right to vote this November?

All On The Line

Legislators have been attempting to diminish the voting power of communities of color in my home state of Arizona. Map manipulators and conservative courts are doubling down on voter suppression across the country -- not only in states like mine but also in places like Wisconsin where we saw a mismanaged election that subverted key vote-by-mail extensions. If we want to win the fight for maps, we need to provide supporters like you with the training and resources to take action against suppression tactics. That's why I'm reaching out to you -- I need your help.

We just launched a new advocacy campaign to empower folks to ask their elected officials to provide what's needed for safe, fair, and accessible elections -- will you chip in a few bucks to support growing our grassroots reach, in Arizona and other states, before the redistricting process starts in 2021?

I've spent my career serving Arizonans by helping them navigate government programs. It's why I know that our government can be a force for good. But so many states have had their governments hijacked by extreme gerrymandering. That's why the fight for fair maps is so important -- it'll mean so much for so many who use and see their local governments as forces for good rather than factories churning out conservative legislation that restricts things like our voting rights.

We know that map manipulators will do whatever it takes to keep the system working in their favor. So many forces have told movements like ours that change isn't possible. Next year, I'm sure many will warn us of the uphill battle we face. But I know that we won't quit. This is too important. We will fight for fair maps.

Can you pitch in to send map manipulators, in Arizona and other states, a warning that you're in this fight for the long haul?

Stop Donald Trump's Voter Suppression

Tweet from MSNBC. President Trump: I think mail-in voting is horrible, it's corrupt. Reporter: You voted by mail in Florida's election last month, didn't you? Trump: Sure, I can vote by mail. Reporter: How do reconcile with that? Trump: Because I'm allowed to

Did you see Donald Trump's recent clash with a reporter over mail-in ballots? ➔

The blatant hypocrisy is shocking, but it's nothing new from Trump or from the Republican politicians who echo him. Will you help us stop them?

Here's the truth: Voting at home is one of the safest ways to vote during a public health emergency. Trump and his allies know that if they can block access to the mailbox, they can suppress turnout at the ballot box.

In the face of COVID-19, it's more important than ever that every state expand vote-at-home, online voter registration, and early voting to ensure that every eligible voter can cast their ballot safely and securely. We have a plan to make it happen -- but we need your help to stand up to Donald Trump's hypocrisy. Will you donate now so we can push for fair elections in 2020 and beyond?
