Dear BACCF Members,

I would like to start this monthly letter with a curious note about Miami. The online site movebuddha recently named Miami as a 15-minute city, which means wherever you may live, everything is located within a 15-minute walk or bicycle ride. (They haven’t been here in the summer!!)

I would like to welcome our new members. Be sure to check the link below. The BACCF continues to grow, and it is thanks to you our members who bring a wide variety of opportunities. On a weekly basis the BACCF sends out communiques regarding our activities. If you are not receiving our flyers, please contact our offices.

On the 11th of September, the BACCF will host our Independence Feijoada & 40th Anniversary Celebration. This year the Feijoada is taking the place of the Gala and will be hosted at Texas de Brazil. This will be a fun gastronomic experience for all guests! (click here)

In consideration of all BACCF Members, the chamber will require proof of vaccination for all in-person events. A form is available to upload the information at the time of your online registration. And of course, our office is always available to guide you through the process.

Estimados Membros da BACCF,

Começo a carta deste mês com uma notícia curiosa sobre Miami: a cidade foi eleita como a “Melhor cidade 15 minutos” dos Estados Unidos (movebuddha). Se você está se perguntando o que esse título quer dizer, entenda: tem a ver com mobilidade urbana e a característica de se demorar uma média de apenas 15 minutos para ir da casa, a pé ou de bicicleta, para qualquer outro ponto da cidade, onde quer que você more.

Com esta notícia sobre Miami, gostaria de dar as boas-vindas aos novos membros da Câmara, que seguirão sendo atualizados virtualmente sobre todos os aspectos que podem afetar o comércio e os investimentos entre o Brasil e a Flórida.

No dia 11 de setembro, realizaremos a nossa Feijoada Anual da Independência, que, em 2021, também comemora os 40 anos da BACCF. O evento leva toda a brasilidade gastronômica para Miami e é uma oportunidade para reunir a nossa comunidade.

Por conta da pandemia de covid-19, os diretores da BACCF aprovaram a medida de que apenas pessoas que estejam completamente vacinadas possam participar do evento, e será solicitado um comprovante de vacinação. Haverá um minuto de silêncio em homenagem ao triste episódio que essa data representa para a história dos EUA. Veja aqui como se inscrever e participar do evento. (clique aqui)
