The battle against voter suppression and gerrymandering is far from over. Presidents Biden and Obama are asking you to keep fighting:
'In state after state, new laws have been passed not only to suppress the vote, but to subvert entire elections. We cannot let this happen.' - President Biden during the 2022 State of the Union Address
'Just because Republicans couldn’t replicate [the gerrymandering] they did in 2011 doesn’t mean we can relax. We still need to preserve competitive elections across the country and ensure that every voice can be heard.' - President Obama recently
At the NDRC, we're using every available tactic to counter GOP voter suppression and gerrymandering. But how successful we are depends on the support of this grassroots community. Will you chip in to help us end Republican cheating and strengthen our democracy?

This week, the Supreme Court shut down Republican attempts to sabotage fair maps in North Carolina and Pennsylvania. This important SCOTUS decision is another proof point that the GOP’s strategy is backfiring.

“Across the country, Republicans are being held to account by state judicial branches for their arrogant attempts to illegitimately draw their way to political power not earned from the voters.”
-- Eric H. Holder, Jr.

We are committed to holding map manipulators accountable. Will you support our mission as voters continue to fight for fair maps through legal action and redraw processes?

As A.G. Holder pointed out, the self-proclaimed states’ rights party was quick to run to the U.S. Supreme Court to invalidate state court decisions on maps.

This worked in their favor when the Supreme Court decided it was too close to the midterm elections to redraw Alabama’s gerrymandered maps.

But the GOP strategy of banking on Trump’s SCOTUS picks to tip the scales toward Republicans on all redistricting cases didn’t pan out. The Supreme Court allowed the fair maps in North Carolina and Pennsylvania to stand, which makes sense because elections are right around the corner in those states too.

The midterm elections in North Carolina and Pennsylvania will use fair maps!

Map manipulators seem to be running out of ways to lock in gerrymandered maps for the 2022 midterm elections -- but we can’t discount their commitment to circumvent democracy or the will of voters.

The NDRC’s work toward fair redistricting has been getting a lot of attention lately. Headlines like these seem to be everywhere:

Redistricting turnaround scrolling headlines

It’s certainly nice to have our work recognized. But at the same time, I have to remind you: Don’t get complacent.

The second we take our eyes off the ball, Republicans will take advantage. Our fight is far from over – and, in fact, we need your help more than ever. I’ll explain why below – but first, will you chip in to help us complete our mission?

Our strategy to achieve fair redistricting has many moving parts, and all those parts take time to carry out.

Our strategy involves working on the ground in many states to prevent gerrymandering from happening in the first place, something we’re still doing in states like Florida. It also involves the work of our affiliates supporting voters in lawsuits against manipulated maps. This is an area where our movement has seen a great deal of success lately, including in states like Minnesota, Ohio, and Pennsylvania.

But our work doesn’t end there. We are also working to hold Republicans accountable for gerrymandering and help elect officials who will fight for fair maps. In short, there’s much more work to be done – and hitting our fundraising goals is critical to making it all happen.

This community has always been there for us in the past. Now I’m asking you again: Can you chip in to help us win the fight for fair redistricting once and for all?
