Brazilian Center.
In the last
day 11. 07 took place at t British
Brazilian Center in São Paulo, the Alegria Art Exhibition in a strong
partnership between Inn Gallery and the British Brazilian Center, which
concentrates several institutions and activities related to culture, education
and trade between Brazil and the United Kingdom, presents a project with the
participation of more than 50 artists in categories such as painting,
photography, sculpture and collage, which will raise funds to improve the
infrastructure of the NGO À VIDA- Casa de Apoio, which promotes Social
Assistance actions to children, teenagers, elderly people and needy families in
the Cotia’s Municipality of São Paulo.
With the
aim of providing a positive experience for visitors, the Exhibition was titled
“JOY”
In this
Exhibition, visitors were taken on a sensorial journey through works that
capture the visual and tangible manifestations of Joy.
The search
for this well-being, within a broad perspective of the meaning of the word, was
deciphered by the curators through an inspiration translated into 3 fundamental
axes: Nature and Prosperity; Movement and Animation; Peace and success.
The
representations of joy that can be experienced in the beauty - serenity of
nature, in the simple moments of everyday life or in the serenity that emanates
from these moments of contentment and gratitude.
From
luminous paintings to expressive sculptures, from the peace of minimalism to
figurative movement, styles, techniques and creativity come together to offer
the viewer a visual celebration of the effervescence that joy brings, inviting
everyone to let themselves be enveloped by its inspiring aura. As they immerse
themselves in a Universe of vibrant colors, exuberant shapes and radiant
expressions that celebrate the essence of joy and happiness in art. The
exhibition seeks to capture the ephemerality of these moments of well-being and
plenitude, inviting the public to explore the different emotional nuances that
make up the human experience of happiness.

Lately, I’ve been reflecting on the idea of home, Sula. Perhaps when you think of home, you imagine the physical place where you lay your head, a space where you feel belonging, or maybe a community you feel close to—even if you’re far away. For me, Chicago comes to mind. It’s where I was raised and where my grandma greeted me with a warm smile and a piece of yellow cake. It’s the place where I learned about the redemptive power of the arts and where I began to understand some of the disparities that put undue barriers in the way of too many. It’s where I first began to grow my passion for civil rights, which led me to meet a young lawyer named Michelle Robinson. We all have our own definitions of home. Right now, the world is rapidly changing around us, and sometimes, our homes can feel far from the ideal we see for ourselves. Now, more than ever, we must—especially when it feels hard—come together to build the best kind of home we can imagine—one of inclusivity, opportunity, and trust. This is where you come in. |

Between now and December 31, your contribution will be matched, dollar-for-dollar, thanks to a generous supporter. That means your gift will go twice as far for our shared mission. Here at the Obama Foundation, we’re working to inspire, empower, and connect the next generation of changemakers. And we are building that home we’ve imagined. A home where our young people, especially our boys and girls of color, have more investment from their communities—places where they have support to find their purpose, people who tell them their city is important, and neighbors who want them to succeed. With your investment today, you’re building that home, too. And right now, your impact will be doubled! Join us in bringing change home, Sula! Your support is an investment in the stories of the next generation, and we all have a part to play in the home we live in. Let’s do this! —Mike Michael Strautmanis Executive Vice President, External Affairs |

| | | Friend, is there anything I can say to convince you to donate $5 to my Senate reelection campaign today? | - What if I told you that political experts predict this race in Nevada will likely decide Senate control?
| - Or that I was just outraised by Mitch McConnell's handpicked candidate?
| - Or that recent polling shows me 2 points down?
| To be completely honest with you, I can't protect this battleground seat without your grassroots support. But right now, I'm on track to fall short of my $20,000 midnight goal – and I need your help. So please, will you pitch in $5 or more by midnight so we can hit our goal, keep Nevada blue, and defend the Senate for Democrats? | If you've saved payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately: | Thank you so much. I couldn't be more grateful for your support.

| | | | | There’s no such thing as an off-year when it comes to winning statehouses. Our work today creates a huge impact on future elections, so here’s what I’m writing to remind you: We’ve cinched incredible victories this year. Together, we’ve won 33 special elections, expanded our majorities in states like Virginia and New Jersey, and closed in on Republicans’ control in the New Hampshire House. These victories were hard-won, and the costs were sky-high. Right now, we need to work harder than ever because Republicans are looking to make up lost ground. It’s only going to get tougher in 2024, especially with Republicans holding a majority of our nation's statehouses. We’ve got our work cut out for us, but I know the power of this team. That’s why we’ve launched a $150,000 end-of-year goal to help our candidates win in 2024. I know what you’re thinking – it’s a massive goal – but we’re confident we can hit it. This deadline is so critical that a generous coalition of donors activated our BIGGEST MATCH of the year, making $1 worth $7 through the end of 2023. Failure is not an option here: Chip in a 7X-impact gift (yes, SEVEN TIMES!) to help elect state Democrats and make sure we hit our $150,000 goal. We’re counting on 3 Democrats from your community to mobilize TODAY for the last time this year » If you've stored your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will process immediately. |
We’ve seen for ourselves how the outcomes of these crucial legislative races matters. It could mean the difference between an abortion ban or expanding abortion access, between limiting access to the ballot box or stronger voting rights, or between more weapons of war on our streets and keeping our communities safe. The money we raise now will have seven times the impact in some of our toughest fights – where we have the opportunity to flip key seats and build power in legislatures nationwide. It’s why right now is the most important time you could donate to help ensure we have the vital resources our candidates are counting on as we head into a pivotal election year. Don’t miss this opportunity to make your dollars go further: If you chip in $7, $25 – or anything you can spare – until New Year’s Eve, I’d be so grateful. I can’t wait to tell the team we had a record-breaking day. Thank you in advance for helping to make that happen. Heather Heather Williams President Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee

Mary English, in less than a week, Americans will celebrate Christmas with family, friends, food and fun. However you celebrate, we sincerely hope you enjoy this time with family and loved ones. But for troops deployed in some of the world’s most dangerous places to protect our freedom, it’ll just be another Monday. Another day in a lonely barracks, thousands of miles away from their loved ones. Another day of the same old mess hall food. Another day of hoping they’ll be able to find a secure internet connection to call home before their kids go to bed. It’s up to us to brighten this day for them. As the country gets ready to celebrate, the USO is determined to uplift our troops on this important day providing programs and services, including at least 1,000 holiday meals at military bases and USO Centers across the world.** And we’re so glad to share that Airbus is matching all gifts, but we’re counting on YOU to help us reach this ambitious goal by midnight tomorrow. Spending Christmas far away from their loved ones is just one of many, many sacrifices our troops make throughout the year in service of our country, asking nothing of us in return. We may not be able to bring them home or fully understand the challenges they go through — but we can make sure they enjoy a home-cooked holiday meal. Please, Mary English, will you rush $29 or more right now to DOUBLE the value of your gift to support our heroes this Christmas and into the new year? There couldn’t be a more important time of year to support them. Thank you for supporting our country’s heroes in uniform when it matters most. The USO |
