 Sula,

Over the past nine years, Republicans in gerrymandered states have systematically attacked their constituents' access to health care and economic security. The majority of voters often opposed their draconian policies -- but they were overruled by politicians who benefited from rigged maps.

Check out the examples below -- but first, will you pitch in to help us end gerrymandering so we don’t end up with another decade of minority rule?
➔ Health insurance. Under the Affordable Care Act, states gained the ability to expand Medicaid to cover some of their most vulnerable residents. But despite voter support, Republicans in gerrymandered states like North Carolina, Georgia, and Wisconsin have refused, resulting in unnecessary suffering. Help us end map manipulation >>

➔ Paid sick leave. Sixty-six percent of voters support paid sick leave for all workers. But not only have GOP-controlled states neglected to adopt this policy, places like Ohio, Kentucky, and Michigan have even prohibitedlocalities from adopting their own paid sick leave laws. Help us end map manipulation >>

➔ Unemployment insurance. Republicans in rigged-map states like Florida and North Carolina have gutted unemployment insurance, leading to increased economic insecurity for millions of families. Help us end map manipulation >>
We can’t allow the GOP to keep getting away with this, Sula. Pitch in to help us end gerrymandering in 2021.

All On The Line
Protect progress by ending gerrymandering

As President Obama said, politicians in some of our most gerrymandered states have ignored the will of their constituents. In times like these, we realize why building a strong foundation of progressive values is so important -- we can't afford to put communities at greater risk.

The truth is, gerrymandering has allowed politicians to obstruct and even dismantle progress over the past decade. That's why President Obama asked you to help protect the next decade of progress. With your grassroots donation, All On The Line can empower volunteers with the tools and resources they need to fight for fair maps. If you're able, make a donation here: https://secure.actblue.com/donate/protect-the-decade

Friend,

We're living through a pandemic that's straining our families, our communities, and our health care system -- especially the medical professionals who are putting their lives on the line every day to save lives and keep our country going. We owe them and everybody on the front lines of this pandemic a profound debt of gratitude. More than ever, we're all in this together.

This crisis also lays bare a lot of truths about our economy and our society. One of them is just how critical health insurance is for every family. Ten years ago this month, I signed the Affordable Care Act into law. And thanks to the hard work of people like you who fought to pass and implement it, we've seen tremendous progress in the decade since -- like providing access to quality, affordable health care to 20 million people and protecting 135 million Americans with preexisting conditions.

Together we changed the lives of millions of people. We saved lives. Because we fought for something we believed in. It's a testament to the power of grassroots organizing.

But right now -- right when people need health care the most -- too many politicians are still trying to dismantle the Affordable Care Act, kick millions off their insurance, and end preexisting conditions protections.

And in some of the most gerrymandered states in the country, there are governors and legislators who continue to reject Medicaid expansion, ignoring the will of their own constituents and putting their communities at greater risk in this pandemic.

We cannot afford another 10 years of gerrymandering-fueled obstruction and pain. That's why All On The Line is focused on empowering people to fight for fair maps -- because right now, our access to health care is on the line. Will you help protect the future of the ACA by donating to All On The Line today?

In 2021, we have the opportunity to define the next 10 years of progress -- not only for health care, but also for climate change, immigration reform, gun violence prevention, criminal justice reform, voting rights, and every other issue we care about. If we don't take action to end gerrymandering now, we'll be dealing with obstruction for another decade -- years that we cannot afford.

Friend, to mark the 10-year anniversary of passing the Affordable Care Act, I'm asking you to protect the progress we've made and continue fighting for progress on all of the issues we care about. Can we count on you?
Thank you for supporting All On The Line's effort to end gerrymandering,
Barack Obama
