“Once we pass the John Lewis Voting Rights [Advancement] Act, we should keep marching to make it even better…
By adding polling places, and expanding early voting, and making Election Day a national holiday.... By guaranteeing that every American has equal representation in our government.... By ending some of the partisan gerrymandering -- so that all voters have the power to choose their politicians, not the other way around.
And if all this takes eliminating the filibuster -- another Jim Crow relic -- in order to secure the God-given rights of every American, then that’s what we should do.” President Obama

Map manipulators aren’t even trying to hide their plans to gerrymander anymore. In fact, some elected leaders have coached their party on the best practices of gerrymandering. Their advice? Be more sly with their attempts to cheat to avoid any legal challenges.

“GOP congressman warns against party
getting 'too greedy' in redistricting efforts”
-- The Week

First 🙄, then fight back with a few bucks >>>

GOP Lawmaker James Comer said: “When you get real cute, you end up in a lawsuit -- and you lose it. And then the courts redraw the lines.” You read that correctly. They still want to gerrymander -- but are trying to be “smart” about it this year to escape accountability. We can’t allow that to happen.

There is no bigger statement of urgency for All On The Line’s work than seeing elected leaders openly call for unbridled partisanship over fairness. Will you make a donation right now so we don’t run low on resources in the middle of the redistricting process?

This year is the first-ever that we have a nationwide grassroots movement to hold map manipulators accountable.

We are going to mobilize folks to call for transparency. We’ve already started training thousands of volunteers on how to best leverage their voice during redistricting and are preparing them to call out and combat unfair maps before they’re finalized.

But none of this will be possible without your support. We need you in this fight if we’re going to ensure map drawers don’t draw the next decade of district lines in favor of their political party.

If you’re in a position to donate -- will you pitch in a donation of $25 to help us beat gerrymandering?

“There is no greater agent for change in your community than you -- we just want to make sure you’re empowered in the redistricting process to make an impact. -- President Obama

President Obama understands that if we want to create a truly representative democracy, we must hold map drawers accountable during redistricting by empowering and training volunteers and supporters.

Because of your support, we’ve already helped register thousands of folks across the country to our summer training sessions and are in the process of preparing them to be effective fair map advocates this year.

But our work is cut out for us. We know map manipulators will do everything in their power to dodge accountability. We must ramp up our efforts if we’re going to successfully defeat gerrymandering.

Will you make a donation -- right now -- and help us empower grassroots advocates to demand transparency during redistricting? Just a few extra donations from New York can help power our movement and provide the opportunities, resources, and tools needed to fight for fair maps.
