In line with Brazil’s Economic Freedom Law (Law No. 13,874/2019), the Securities and Exchange Commission of Brazil (Comissão de Valores Mobiliários – CVM) issued CVM Resolution 175, which became effective on October 2, 2023. CVM Resolution 175 sets forth a new regulatory framework for the investment funds in Brazil that introduces several innovations in line with international practices and standards.
Panelists will discuss how foreign investors could benefit from the innovations introduced by CVM Resolution 175, as well as their views on the effects of such new regulations on the attractiveness of the Brazilian investment funds to foreign investors. Panelists will also share their experiences on foreign investment funds structures, making practical analyses on how they converge or differ from the new Brazilian regulatory framework.
This webinar presents an opportunity for foreign investors to catch up on the innovations of the new Brazilian investment funds regulatory framework – and an opportunity for Brazilian investors and local players to learn more about international foreign investment structures, as well as foreign investors’ views on the Brazilian investment funds industry.

When lawmakers admit to us that they tried to create as many districts for their party as possible, we know what they really are trying to say is that they don’t want to be forced to give voters equal representation or fair maps. We’re met with a time where action is needed, and your support is crucial.
Ensuring a future where democracy flourishes and the people are fairly represented is a long road, but it’s necessary for the future of fair maps. Lawmakers cannot be able to get away with their gerrymandering anti-democracy actions without accountability. With your support, we can face the hurdles of our fair maps mission together nationwide. Extreme lawmakers in North Carolina are putting democracy at stake and we’re met with a moment where we must do everything we can to safeguard it. Together, we can show lawmakers that their actions do not go unnoticed, and we will make our voices heard every step of the way.

| | | Democrats have secured 26 special election victories this year, defending our Pennsylvania House majority and chipping away at the GOP’s narrow majority in the New Hampshire House. And we still have seven specials on top of Virginia’s elections next month! Date | State | Seat | 11/7 | Kentucky | HD-93 | 11/7 | Massachusetts | SD-06 Worcester & Hampshire | 11/7 | Maine | HD-50 | 11/7 | New Hampshire | HD-Hillsborough 3 | 11/7 | Rhode Island | SD-1 | 11/7 | South Carolina | SD-42 | 11/7 | Texas | HD-2 |
To defeat extreme Republicans and continue our winning streak this November, we need your help. A $10 donation can make a monumental difference in special elections like these → If you've stored your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will process immediately. |
Here’s what your donation goes toward: $10 enables Democrats to reach voters through targeted ad campaigns in crucial states like New Hampshire and Virginia. $50 funds training for our on-the-ground organizing team, who will mobilize dozens of volunteers for door-knocking and phone banking, amplifying our presence in key districts. And $100 ensures we can implement voter protection programs, safeguarding thousands of votes and securing a clear path to the presidency for President Biden by maintaining and expanding Democratic control in state legislatures nationwide. With only 11 days until Election Day, will you rush your first 3x-matched gift of $10 of the year before our deadline on the 31st to propel state Dems forward and help secure victories in these seven crucial elections and beyond?Thank you, Team DLCC

| | | I know it's been a long week, friend, so I'll keep this quick.
I'm still falling $5,376 short of my midnight fundraising goal, and there are only a few hours left to close the gap. With Senate control at stake in Nevada, this isn't a goal we can afford to miss. That's why I'm humbly asking: Will you please chip in $5 – even $25 – before our crucial midnight deadline? | Thank you,
Jacky Rosen | | Voters are casting their ballots in Virginia as you read this. Here’s a glimpse of the path ahead: These five seats are toss-up races that could determine control of Virginia’s legislature: District | Democratic Candidate | HD-97 | Michael Feggans | HD-21 | Joshua Thomas | HD-82 | Kimberly Pope Adams | SD-24 | Monty Mason | SD-31 | Russet Perry |
Losing even one of these races could make the difference between handing the GOP total control of state government, and safeguarding abortion, defending our democracy, and protecting the LGBTQ+ community. The impact of Virginia’s elections will be felt nationwide. Every seat we lose is a step backward for state Democrats. So, will you join Democrats in Virginia in the fight by rushing a 3X-matched gift of $10 before polls close in 11 days? Your support will help elect Democrats across the country. If you've stored your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will process immediately. |
Thanks for being on this team, Team DLCC

| | Hi Sula, I'm Aleena!
Next week, I’ll have the honor of introducing President Obama’s remarks on economic inclusion at the Democracy Forum. Before we take the stage, I want to tell you a little bit about my work and why this topic is so important to me. |
|
I currently lead Talent Solutions at a Chicago-based nonprofit called P33 Chicago that focuses on making the tech sector more diverse and inclusive. And last year, I had the wonderful opportunity to participate in the Obama Foundation Scholars program while pursuing my MBA at the University of Chicago. Creating an economy that works better for more people is a big challenge that can seem overwhelming, but to me, there’s a clear vision we’re working towards. Each and every person should have the chance to make their tomorrow look better than their today. Here’s one tangible example. I’m currently working on an initiative called Xchange Chicago, which is creating tech workforce hubs on the South and West Sides of Chicago. These hubs will create on-ramps and support for local community members to get tech jobs that they typically do not have access to, while bringing new business anchors to the community. Diversifying hiring is one way to create a more inclusive economy, but there are ways every single person can take action in their everyday life. Reframe the dollars you spend as an investment in the individuals, businesses, and values you support. Actively challenge your everyday decisions and shift them, even just a little bit, to represent your community and your voice. Next week, I look forward to hearing President Obama’s insights on how we can move forward and solve these problems as a society when he addresses economic inclusion and other challenges our democracy is facing. These issues touch all of us, so I hope you’ll tune in to President Obama’s speech at the Democracy Forum. You can sign up to receive a reminder about the livestream here and learn more about the other speakers who will bring their expertise to the conversations. Thanks for taking a moment to learn about my work. –Aleena |
