This is hard to believe, folks --
First, Republicans proposed -- and in some cases, enacted -- maps that LOCK IN their 2011 gerrymanders for another decade.
But then, they got even greedier, and they’re now trying to create SUPER-GERRYMANDERS in states like Georgia, Ohio, and North Carolina! - In Ohio, where Republicans have won about 54% of the vote in recent elections, the proposed congressional map would give them 87% -- you read that right, EIGHTY-SEVEN PERCENT -- of the seats.
- In North Carolina, a perennial swing state, Republicans enacted maps that will potentially bump up the number of congressional seats they control from 8 out of 13 to 10 out of 14.
- And in Georgia, their maps would eliminate competitive districts!
So what now? WE FIGHT BACK, Sula! We're not going to let them get away with this -- but we need your help with fundraising so we have the resources to prevent or undo these gerrymanders in every state.
