2026 Celebrates the Ancestral Roots of the Caruanas and the Amazon Rainforest
Through the Eyes of Beto Cocenza.
Between
March 9th and 15th, the traditional Circolo Italiano di San Paolo will host
another edition of Boom Design SP 2026, conceived by businessman Beto Cocenza.
The event has already established itself as one of the most creative gatherings
of contemporary Brazilian design, bringing together furniture, art, crafts, and
innovation in a single space.
Each year,
Beto Cocenza renews the project's concept, proposing new sensory and aesthetic
experiences through original furniture and Brazilian crafts. In 2026, however,
the proposal reached an even deeper level by highlighting the theme
"Caruanas – ancestral roots," bringing to the forefront the symbolic
power of the Amazon. The concept delves into the cultural and spiritual origins
of the forest, transforming the stories and achievements of peoples and
territories into inspiration for design pieces and works of art. The project,
conceived by Rozana Trilha, seeks to value traditional knowledge and Amazonian
ancestry as a tool for economic and social development.
Regional
artists and local artisans were given prominence, presenting creations that
reflect Brazilian cultural identity. The result was a true celebration of
nature and traditions, transformed into unique pieces that combine aesthetics,
sustainability, and memory.
Among the
participating companies, innovative proposals stood out, such as By Poli, which
presented resin furniture with a contemporary finish, and Tapecouro, with
sophisticated upholstery solutions resulting in a very high standard in this sector.
The
environments also highlighted pieces from the Italian company Natuzzi Italia,
known worldwide for its sophisticated sofas and refined design. Another
highlight was the presence of Convier Móveis, which presented sustainable
furniture with exclusive design and high resistance to sunlight—true spectacles
of nature transformed into furniture—as well as Papelee—a landmark in the
innovation and sophistication of wallpapers that carries environmental
commitment and original design.
One of the
most interesting aspects of Beto Vicenza's curation was precisely the
integration of companies from different regions of Brazil, many of them outside
the traditional São Paulo design circuit. Convier itself, for example,
originates from Alexânia, Goiás, demonstrating that the creativity and
excellence of Brazilian design flourish in diverse territories. Companies from
the state of Paraná also brought authenticity and sophistication, presenting
chairs and tables that express the aesthetic diversity of the country.
More than a
furniture exhibition, Boom Design SP 2026 revealed itself as a complete
cultural experience—where art, nature, tradition, and innovation meet. Under
Beto Vicenza's curatorial vision, the event reaffirms the potential of
Brazilian design as an expression of identity, sustainability, and cultural
richness.

IVAA is born with an innovative proposal for the treatment, prevention, and care of animals without resources.
Veterinary medicine in Brazil has undergone significant transformations in recent years, reflecting a substantial shift in social awareness regarding animal care and protection. In this context, innovative initiatives are emerging that go beyond traditional clinical practice, integrating assistance, care, and social responsibility. One such initiative is led by veterinarian Dr. Márcio Jacob, recognized by the Brazilian Sciences, Letters and Arts's Academy, where he received the "Paws Angels " award for his contribution to animal welfare.
Driven by a
trajectory marked by observing social inequalities and animal abandonment in
Brazilian cities, Dr. Márcio Jacob conceived the creation of institutes
specializing in animal care, with a special focus on abandoned dogs or those
from families without the financial resources to afford veterinary treatment.
The project stems from the understanding that animal welfare is directly linked
to the evolution of human consciousness and collective responsibility for life.
The
proposal of these institutes goes beyond basic care. The model envisions a
comprehensive structure focused on the care, treatment, and rehabilitation of
animals, including surgeries, veterinary clinics, prevention programs,
vaccination campaigns, and even boarding services for rescued or vulnerable
animals. Furthermore, the initiative seeks to encourage donations and
partnerships, strengthening a support network that will expand the project's
reach.
Another
innovative aspect of the proposal is the integration of education, training,
and responsible adoption, creating an environment that favors not only the
treatment of animals but also raising societal awareness about the importance
of respect and care for animal life.
Currently,
the project is in the structural planning phase and analyzing potential
locations in the state of São Paulo where the institute will be implemented.
Although the location is still being defined, the expectation is that
construction will be completed and the institution inaugurated sometime in
2026, marking a new chapter in the model of social veterinary assistance in
Brazil.
The
initiative represents an important advancement in the sector, uniting science,
social sensitivity, and innovation in veterinary management, prioritizing
animal care and offering new perspectives for thousands of dogs that currently
face abandonment, hunger, and lack of assistance.
