Fernanda Karolino brings the EVA Forum to the Baixada Santista region using the Host City model.

Fernanda Karolino is an entrepreneur, institutional leader, writer, and visual artist whose career has been shaped by entrepreneurship, culture, education, and social innovation. Over more than two decades of professional experience, she has worked across different sectors, combining business management, human development, the creative economy, and social impact initiatives.

She is Co-Founder of EPIK 360°, President of the Júlio Karolino Institute, creator of the EVA Ecosystem®, and founder of ArtExpo Brazil and Expo Brazil Publishing House. Her work brings together organizational intelligence, Social ESG, education, culture, innovation, and institutional partnerships.

As President of the Júlio Karolino Institute, Fernanda develops initiatives focused on education, citizenship, a culture of peace, and human development. This experience led to the creation of the EVA Ecosystem®, an initiative focused on preventing violence before it occurs through education, awareness, and the development of protection networks as tools for social transformation.

The EVA Forum – Education Against Violence, Abuse and Harassment will take place on August 19, 2026, at 7:00 p.m., at the Santos City Council, Santos, São Paulo, Brazil, marking the city as a Host City for an initiative designed to expand the discussion on preventing different forms of violence through education, awareness, and collaboration among different sectors of society.

The Forum is an initiative of the Júlio Karolino Institute | EVA Ecosystem® and has as its central theme: “Education as a means of preventing all forms of violence in society.”

The Baixada Santista edition will also feature the Women Who Inspire – Baixada Santista tribute, recognizing women who stand out for their achievements, leadership, professional careers, entrepreneurship, and social commitment.

The tribute is intended to be integrated into the Forum’s purpose: recognizing people who create positive role models and demonstrating that stories of leadership, education, respect, and transformation can also serve as tools for preventing violence.

What is the EVA Ecosystem®?

The EVA Ecosystem® was created with a broad approach to addressing violence through prevention, education, and the development of protection networks.

More than an event or campaign, EVA is designed as an ecosystem for mobilization and collaboration, bringing together public authorities, institutions, educators, specialists, families, young people, and civil society.

Its approach is based on a shift in perspective: not waiting for violence to happen before taking action.

The initiative is based on the idea that educating, informing, developing awareness, strengthening relationships, and creating protection networks are concrete forms of prevention.

The EVA Ecosystem also broadens the perspective on the different forms of violence present in society, seeking to promote a culture of respect, support, responsibility, and peace.

The Host City Strategy

One of the project's distinguishing features is the Host City concept.

The proposal is to take the Forum to different municipalities, turning each city that hosts the initiative into a territory for dialogue, mobilization, and collaboration.

The Host City model has already been developed in different municipalities, including São Paulo, São Bernardo do Campo, and Guarujá, as well as other cities that have hosted EVA Forum editions and initiatives.

This trajectory demonstrates that the proposal is not limited to a one-time event, but is gradually building a network of municipalities engaged in violence prevention, education, and social collaboration.

A Host City is not simply the location where an event takes place. It becomes part of a network of cities committed to violence prevention, encouraging connections among local leaders, public authorities, institutions, professionals, and civil society.

In this context, Santos represents an important stage in the expansion of the EVA Ecosystem®, bringing the initiative to the Baixada Santista region and creating new opportunities for regional collaboration.

Obama Foundation

Today is President Obama’s birthday! As he celebrates another trip around the sun, I know what my friend is thinking: How many more young leaders can we lift up through the work of The Obama Foundation? What life-changing programs can we power even further? How can we inspire every visitor who comes to the Obama Presidential Center to bring change home?

Clock counting down.

And that’s where you come in. Please, make a gift by tonight’s deadline and celebrate President Obama’s birthday by supporting his work to help everyday people create extraordinary change.

Various slide images of Obama over the years.

Your support will go directly towards the cause closest to President Obama’s heart: investing in emerging leaders and empowering them to change the world.

Gift Status: Not yet donated.

Deadline: Midnight tonight

SULA COSTA

Last year’s birthday gifts made a real impact on The Obama Foundation’s programs for emerging leaders. The Girls Opportunity Alliance opened doors for girls to pursue their dreams through education. The My Brother’s Keeper Alliance created opportunities for boys and young men of color to find mentors, develop leadership skills, and improve their futures. And now, these programs have a permanent home at the Obama Presidential Center in Chicago.

With the Obama Presidential Center officially open to the public, I know President Obama is so excited about this next chapter. And I know that a gift from you will mean so much to him. Please make a donation in honor of the President’s birthday to help celebrate this milestone and support his legacy.

Sincerely,

Valerie

Barack’s 65th birthday is just a few days away! As my husband turns another year older, I’m reminded that the journey we started all those years ago is far from over. In fact, in many ways, it’s just beginning.

Not only is this a milestone birthday for Barack, but it’s also a milestone year for The Obama Foundation! With the opening of the Obama Presidential Center in Chicago, we’re marking a new chapter in our mission—empowering folks from all over the world to bring change home.

Birthdays have a way of marking time. But they also give us a chance to recommit ourselves to the values we believe in, to the people we care about, and to the work still left to do. I know you share Barack’s vision for a brighter, more just future—and I hope you will help us celebrate his birthday by making a gift to The Obama Foundation today.

Barack Obama in a room full of people, laughing.

Over the years, I have seen Barack pour his time and energy into lifting up our nation’s young people. So I know the most meaningful birthday gift you can give is to help grow The Obama Foundation’s programs, including the My Brother’s Keeper Alliance and the Girls Opportunity Alliance.

These programs fund scholarships and provide opportunities to young people around the globe. So when you make your special birthday gift today, you’ll be supporting the next generation of leaders who will go on to build a better world.

Please give the gift of change this year by donating to celebrate Barack’s milestone birthday.

Warmly,
Michelle
