With the help of you and this grassroots team, we made history last November – flipping four chambers, adding three new Democratic trifectas, and defending every single majority. But we can’t take our foot off the gas now – the stakes are too high.

State Democrats are facing nearly a dozen special elections over the next two months – some of which are vital for Democratic control – and the Virginia House and Senate are in play this November.

Electing Democratic leaders who will support President Biden’s agenda in statehouses across the country is critical to building a better future in your state. But it’s up to grassroots supporters like you to own a piece of this fight and give state Democrats the resources they need to go toe-to-toe against their Republican opponents.

As an official member, you’ll be at the forefront of the fight to defeat extremist state Republicans, helping elect Democrats who will work to secure a progressive future in your state. So can we count you in?

Donate $10 or more right now to activate your official 2023 DLCC Membership, and we’ll send you your very own membership card in the mail, so you can have a physical reminder of your commitment to electing state Democrats >>

Service Can Take Us on a Path From Charity to Justice | Opinion by Michael D. Smith

MDS Opinion

When Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., spoke at the March on Washington in 1963, he described a “fierce urgency of now.” Six decades later, we still find ourselves holding this same sense of urgency. Read AmeriCorps CEO Michael D. Smith's reflections on MLK Day of Service.

Because we need you to chip in $7 to elect state Democrats to keep us on track to our January goal. Here’s why your support is so important:

  • State Democrats had a HISTORIC midterm election in November, defending every Democratic chamber and flipping four more.

  • But we’re heading into a busy winter full of special elections – with important races in Pennsylvania and New Hampshire less than a month away.

  • So state Democrats can secure even more gains in 2023 if we all come together at this pivotal moment.

If we hit our fundraising goals, we can harness Democratic enthusiasm into more wins – expanding our majorities.

But if we fail to reach our goals, we could be outspent – giving Republican extremists a huge advantage.

Will you be one of the local Democrats we still need to chip in $7?

If you've stored your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will process immediately.
