| | When the ultra-conservative majority Supreme Court overturned Roe last summer, leaving abortion rights to the states, grassroots Democrats soared into action, investing in our movement to elect Democrats who will protect abortion rights in state legislatures across the country. And it paid off. Through the support of this grassroots team, we secured historic victories last November – defending our existing majorities, flipping key chambers, and securing four new Democratic trifectas. We’re already seeing the power of these victories: Just weeks into the legislative session, Minnesota Democrats put their new trifecta to work. Yesterday, Governor Tim Walz signed a bill codifying abortion rights in the state. We’re thrilled. When Democrats hold power, they act immediately to deliver for their constituents – passing legislation to protect abortion access, voting rights, and so much more. As we celebrate the work of Minnesota’s hard-won Democratic trifecta and the signing of this historic legislation, we want to take the time to say thank you. This incredible moment wouldn’t be possible without your support of our movement. At moments like this, we’re reminded of the importance of our mission to grow Democratic power in state legislatures. Democratic majorities are truly life-changing. That’s why it’s vital that we continue to fight to elect Democrats to statehouses nationwide – together, we can secure a better future in states like yours and across the country. If you’re able: Can you chip in $7 today to help power our work to elect state Democrats who will fight to protect abortion rights? Anything you can spare will make a meaningful difference. We couldn't do this without you.

Why aren’t there more Black founders? |
It’s a question on a lot of minds as we mark the start of Black History Month. Though Black Americans make up over 13% of the population, Black-founded companies receive just 1% of venture funding—and the disparity has only widened during the market cooldown over the past year.
“It generally sucks being a Black founder raising today,” a Black founder told TechCrunch.
Black founders are under-represented among high-growth, innovation-pursuing startups, and there has been only slight growth in the share of Black-founded startups over time. In the last decade, less than 2% of the 400 U.S.-unicorn startups had Black founders, according to McKinsey research.
Layoffs hit BIPIC
It’s not just founders, either. People of color make up a tiny portion of the tech workforce, and last years’ layoffs only exasperated things. hitting diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) departments hard.
Twitter’s diversity team is down to just two people from 30. Meta Chief Diversity Officer Maxine Williams warned last summer that cost cutting would slow its diversity hiring efforts.
All talk, little action?
Robert L. Johnson, co-founder of BET and the first Black billionaire in the US, says few Black workers and entrepreneurs are reaping the benefits of the billions of dollars companies pledged following 2020's Black Lives Matter protests.
“I can tell you, the Black community, entrepreneurs I know, are very disappointed with these, what I call, press release announcements with no results,” Johnson said.
No easy answers
Researchers took a close look at 100k startups to see how Black founders compare to other founders at the same stage.
They concluded that Black founders of early stage (seed through Series A) companies raise roughly one-third as much venture capital as their peers in the same growth stage, industry, and location. The disparity dissipates in later stages.
The study zeroed in on four key contributors: - Black startups have smaller founding teams;
- Black founders are less likely to have worked at the same companies or attended the same schools as investors who fund startups in the same industry and geography;
- Black startups are less likely to be located in geographies with plentiful venture capital; and
- Black startups are less likely to have a patent.
What the study couldn’t account for: how much racial bias plays into VC funding.
Black Bank movement
More than half of the loan applications of Black-owned businesses are rejected, more than any other category of applicants. Black Americans are more likely to be denied credit or be approved for less credit than requested compared to any other group, regardless of income, according to Federal Reserve data.
One reason, experts say, is that just 3% of U.S. banks are owned or led by people of color. Entrepreneurs and investors are stepping up to address this disparity.
Atlanta-based Greenwood Inc., a leader in the “Bank Black” movement since its inception in 2020, raised over $45M to expand digital banking to marginalized populations. The company’s leadership includes former Atlanta Mayor Andrew Young Jr. and rapper Michael “Killer Mike” Render.
A group of Black financial services professionals and regulatory experts launched a $250M Black Bank Fund for Black-owned banks. The FDIC’s Mission Driven Bank Fund raised $120M to support banks providing credit and financial services to communities of color. And the $29M Black Vision Fund is starting to make investments in companies that lend to Black-owned businesses. |

We’re just five days away from special elections where we’re fighting for three crucial seats Democrats have to win in order to fight off extremist Republican control in the Pennsylvania statehouse. All eyes are on these ultra-competitive races. Our candidates, Joe McAndrew, Abigail Salisbury, and Matt Gergely are up against right-wing, anti-abortion opponents – and an avalanche of GOP money has made these races even more expensive than anticipated. With your support, we can ensure that we have the resources to fight back and elect Democrats to state legislatures nationwide. Can you make a $7 contribution to the DLCC today? Every dollar translates to tangible resources we will use to ensure Democrats can win elections across the country in states like Pennsylvania >> If you've stored your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will process immediately. |
Just a few weeks ago, Democrats flipped a Virginia Senate seat by less than a percentage point – that’s the difference that our work makes. Right now, we’re counting on dedicated supporters like you – people who don’t sit on the sidelines during key special elections – to help us deliver even stronger returns next Tuesday. We have momentum on our side – and as we make this final push to Election Day in Pennsylvania, we’re turning to you. Chip in $7, $25, or $50 right now to help us win state legislative elections for Democrats in Pennsylvania, and across the country. Thanks, Team DLCC DONATE »

Martin Luther King Jr.'s words remain true, but the bend toward justice does not happen on its own -- it moves because people, like you, pull it there.
Since we launched All On The Line, we've seen that path toward justice move closer because of our work together in restoring fairness to our democracy and ensuring that every American has an equal say in our government. We started this year having achieved significant progress, with 75% of the states’ congressional maps considered fair. However, our work remains unfinished as long as remaining states remain gerrymandered, and we must continue this fight until we get rid of all gerrymandering everywhere.
It's up to us to not only safeguard the progress we have made, but it's time for us to build on that progress and continue our fight for fairness. We can't reach that point without your support. Will you make a donation to All On The Line?
Dr. King's legacy teaches us not to dwell in the shadows of disparity. We must stand at the forefront of the fight against inequality. We are in the midst of the civil rights movement of our time. It is up to us to continue bending the arc of justice. History has shown us that we can.
That is why All On The Line and its affiliates are pressing forward in the fair maps movement by supporting voters who are challenging gerrymandered maps in court. Our teams are mobilizing volunteers across the nation to advocate for more redistricting reforms. And, importantly, we are working to prevent a new wave of radical gerrymandering.
It is our duty to continue this fight for the civil rights of all. The best way to honor Dr. King’s legacy is to build upon it. This can’t happen in one day -- it requires continued participation over the course of years and decades. And each year we must recommit ourselves to making his dream a reality.
I firmly believe that we have the capacity to bring about the change that is necessary.
In solidarity,
Eric H. Holder, Jr.
All On The Line is the grassroots advocacy campaign supported by the National Redistricting Action Fund. Support our work to end gerrymandering.

Please keep this to yourself Hi I apologise for disturbing you on a Sunday, but this is very important. We've just found out about something big that's going down at W'hampton tomorrow evening. There's three horses running at the evening meeting that have been laid out to win. A small group of professionals are behind it & from what I've heard it's going to be carnage for the betting firms. I only got to hear about this as I'm good friends with a lad at one of the yards. They (those behind it) don't know that we now know the plans. We've obviously got to be sensible with this information, so we're only going to pass this onto 20 members. 1) 20 Only 2) Horses released early afternoon so we don't affect the market 3) If you purchase, you must agree to NOT have big bets with just one Bookmaker - Spread them about 4) These MUST be kept to yourself We're going to have singles & a Trixie I hate to sound like I'm laying down rules & sounding harsh, but I'm pretty sure you understand why. I'm not being rude, just making sure that we don't ruin any plans & get my mate in any bother with others finding out. He shouldn't have told me to be fair, but I'm obviously very glad he did. What odds to expect? I honestly don't know, I know one should be 10/1 ish & I can't see them going to all this bother for short price crap. So it's fair to say we'll be collecting a hefty amount if all goes to plan.
Price: All 3 sent via email £100 First 20 ONLY then the payment link gets deleted.
IMPORTANT If you purchase this information you are agreeing to use it for yourself only & under no circumstances share with anyone. Thank-you very much for your understanding. Click Here To Purchase This Info! Happy Punting Mark |
