The team here at All On The Line wanted to send you a primer on Harper v. Hall, the redistricting case in front of the NC Supreme Court this week.
Our team has been in the weeds on this case for a while now -- our affiliate organization, the National Redistricting Foundation, is supporting the voters who originally brought the successful anti-gerrymandering challenge and are now protecting North Carolina voters’ right to a fair congressional map.
Extreme North Carolina Republicans are attempting to replace fair maps with gerrymandered ones even as the state supreme court ruled just three months ago on the unconstitutional maps.
On March 14, the North Carolina Supreme Court will be rehearing significant portions of the landmark case, Harper v. Hall, that has made the maps in the North Carolina fair. If the court overturns recent precedent and allows the General Assembly to gerrymander with impunity, they will completely undermine the ability of voters of both parties to have an equal opportunity to elect their preferred candidates.
Neither the law nor the facts have changed. But the decision could impact communities of interest across North Carolina and undo landmark legal precedent. |
North Carolina’s extreme Republicans believe that a change in judicial officers grants them permission to simply request a change in how the state’s laws are interpreted. Help All On The Line push back against anti-democratic attempts like the one in North Carolina and rush a donation of $23, $35, or more today.
Voters in North Carolina deserve fair representation, and they were promised that when the NC Supreme Court struck down the state’s gerrymandered maps twice last year. The court should keep that promise.
If you agree, support our fight to protect voters in North Carolina and across the country today.
Our team will keep you updated as things unfold.

| | Friend – it's Jacky Rosen. I just sent a letter to the Walgreens CEO condemning the company's decision to stop selling mifepristone – an FDA-approved medication used for abortion and treating miscarriages. Here's why: | Medication abortion is the most common abortion method in our country. It's safe. It's effective. And it's been widely used for the past 20 years. | And yet, Walgreens made the decision to not sell mifepristone, which will affect access to reproductive care across the country. It's an outrageous decision based entirely on pressure from anti-choice politicians – not science. | That's why I put together a rapid-response petition to send a loud and clear message that the majority of Americans won't stand for the GOP's draconian attacks on our reproductive freedom. I'm looking for 10,000 people to add their voices with mine before midnight, but your signature is missing, friend. | Please, will you add your name right now to my rapid-response petition to stand up to the GOP's attacks on abortion access? There is simply too much at stake to stay silent in this fight. | | Thank you for stepping up at such an important moment,
Jacky Rosen |

Eve or Lilith Today” - 2nd Edition by Art A3
Gallery
Rosita Cavenaghi from Art A3 Gallery signs the
second edition of the exhibition "Eva or Lilith in the Present" which
aims to honor International Women's Day and will bring together talented
artists in the most diverse art forms such as paintings, sculptures and
photographs. This theme focuses on valuing women, which, according to the
gallerist and art curator, is very important to encourage the idea that women
should value themselves in whatever situation they are.
According to Curator Rosita the theme focuses on Eva,
the symbol of submission, dependence, weakness, inferiority and motherhood,
while Lilith is seen as the representation of freedom, independence, equality
and desire. The exhibition explores how a woman can move between the two
versions, without limiting herself.
Reinforcing the strategy of yet another rewarding
and outstanding period for art, Rosita Cavenaghi carries out this work with
great involvement for the success of the event that exalts women through art
and culture. The
participating artists are: Anne Walking, Aracelis Vilela, Cláudio Takita, Edu
Campos, Elisabeth Wortsman, Gisele Faganello, Gisele Ulisses, Ju Barros, Maria
Estanislava, Maria Amélia Viana, Marcelo Neves and Ricardo Muñoz.
The exhibition space is highlighted and very
opportune for being close to one of the most important medical centers in the
country, which makes the works presented in this exhibition come to life and
shine even more.
Rosita concludes by saying that the exhibition is
being conceived as a visual record, celebrating the diversity of women,
inspired, creatively recording manifestations for their freedom and
empowerment, celebrating the moments of union between them.
