(Eastern Time - U.S. and Canada)

In line with Brazil’s Economic Freedom Law (Law No. 13,874/2019), the Securities and Exchange Commission of Brazil (Comissão de Valores Mobiliários – CVM) issued CVM Resolution 175, which became effective on October 2, 2023. CVM Resolution 175 sets forth a new regulatory framework for the investment funds in Brazil that introduces several innovations in line with international practices and standards.

Panelists will discuss how foreign investors could benefit from the innovations introduced by CVM Resolution 175, as well as their views on the effects of such new regulations on the attractiveness of the Brazilian investment funds to foreign investors. Panelists will also share their experiences on foreign investment funds structures, making practical analyses on how they converge or differ from the new Brazilian regulatory framework.

This webinar presents an opportunity for foreign investors to catch up on the innovations of the new Brazilian investment funds regulatory framework – and an opportunity for Brazilian investors and local players to learn more about international foreign investment structures, as well as foreign investors’ views on the Brazilian investment funds industry.

We’ve read some headlines that forced us to face our reality: democracy is at stake.

"New NC election districts that lock in Republican advantages on their way to approval"

When lawmakers admit to us that they tried to create as many districts for their party as possible, we know what they really are trying to say is that they don’t want to be forced to give voters equal representation or fair maps. We’re met with a time where action is needed, and your support is crucial.

Ensuring a future where democracy flourishes and the people are fairly represented is a long road, but it’s necessary for the future of fair maps. Lawmakers cannot be able to get away with their gerrymandering anti-democracy actions without accountability. With your support, we can face the hurdles of our fair maps mission together nationwide. Extreme lawmakers in North Carolina are putting democracy at stake and we’re met with a moment where we must do everything we can to safeguard it. Together, we can show lawmakers that their actions do not go unnoticed, and we will make our voices heard every step of the way.
