Luciano
Huck promotes a meeting with international star Wil Smith and lookalike Naio Barreto.
On Thursday, September
19th, Rock in Rio became the scene of an unusual and emotional meeting between
the renowned American actor Will Smith and his impeccable Brazilian double,
Naio Barreto. The event, promoted by presenter Luciano Huck, brought together two
figures who, at first glance, would seem to have little in common, but who, in
fact, have much more to share than just physical similarity.
Naio Barreto, a
27-year-old young man from Camaçari, in the Metropolitan Region of Salvador, is
a declared football fan and a convinced São Paulo native, with special
admiration for the former goalkeeper and now club icon, Rogério Ceni.
Advertising student and content creator, Naio has stood out on social media as
a Will Smith lookalike, participating in videos and presentations that always
bring a lot of humor and fun. He has been making videos for the internet for
five years, building a fan base and experiencing being recognized for his
resemblance to one of Hollywood's biggest stars.
During the festival, Will
Smith spared no effort to win over the Brazilian public, bringing a contagious
energy and an attitude that easily captures the hearts of his fans. The actor,
who is also known for his charitable work, made a special presentation for
street cleaners, was seen having dinner with the singer Iza and, in a loving
moment, received the famous “Congratulations to You” in a bakery, accompanied
by Luciano Huck. This type of light and warm interaction is often seen as the
“Brazilian license” that many international artists aim to gain upon arriving
in the country.
The highlight of this
story, however, was the meeting promoted by presenter Lucinao Huck between the
two. Naio couldn't hide his happiness and excitement when he took the stage
alongside his idol. In a gesture that symbolized more than physical proximity,
the look-alike made it clear that realizing his dream of meeting Will Smith was
something that went beyond simple admiration; it was the achievement of a vital
objective. In a good-humored tone, Naio commented: “There will be a story to
tell on the day of her birth”, when announcing that her daughter, Pérola, had
been born the day after the event. Full of energy and good humor, Naio Barreto
created videos that show his ability to imitate a foreigner's accent, always
ending his performances with the famous catchphrase “I love Bahia!”. His
Instagram is a true collection of montages that compare his look to Will
Smith's since 2015. It's really fun to follow this journey!
Even before exploring
himself on digital platforms, Naio was already venturing into the world of the
artist's dubbing, dressing in clothes that echoed the actor's style, always
seeking to capture the essence of Will Smith. Now, as an Advertising student
with a natural talent for entertainment, he continues to delight his audience
with humorous and creative videos.
Such a significant moment
for both, not only because of mutual admiration but because of the union of a
culture that, despite different origins, recognizes itself in the joy of
meeting. Between laughter, photographs and dreams coming true, the meeting
between Will Smith and Naio Barreto served not only to entertain, but to
reinforce a cultural bond that unites people through art, music and the
celebration of life. Rock in Rio, then, became not just a music festival, but a
stage for life stories that deserve to be told and celebrated.
The meeting with Will
Smith, promoted by Luciano Huck, was a moment awaited not only by Naio, but by
everyone who admires the work and the joy he brings. After a complicated period
due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the expectation of seeing these two Will Smiths
together, smiling and sharing this connection, promises to be one of the most
memorable events on Brazilian television. We hope that this friendship, which began
on screen, continues to grow and inspire many people out there!
