All On The Line
We can't lose our values right now.

This fight isn't just about stopping the kind of voter suppression we saw in Georgia this month or the manipulation of voting maps that enabled it. It's also about bringing change to our communities and building a more just democracy.

Part of why we're seeing voter suppression at the polls and inaction on election reform in Congress is because elected officials who've engineered lopsided voting districts in the past know how consequential this year's elections will be.

They know they've got to win in November if they want to keep drawing up districts however suits them best.

They also know that you have the power to stop them.

We need to take concrete steps to address voter suppression. All On The Line has helped tens of thousands of people -- in all 50 states -- contact their elected officials to demand action on election protection. Will you chip in to our build momentum going into election season?

Right now, folks in places like North Carolina and Ohio are pressuring state lawmakers to support commonsense election reform. This kind of direct advocacy can go a long way as these states debate how to administer elections in the midst of a pandemic. If we want to see safe, fair, and accessible elections this fall, we need to advocate for solutions like vote-by-mail, early-vote, and online voter registration.

Stopping voter suppression is not just about protecting elections this year. It's also about passing commonsense election reform -- a step that will be consequential for the next decade. Will you help fund this fight, Sula?

-- Barack Obama

RSVP: Join A.G. Holder at a virtual event on voting rights!

Voting rights are civil rights and -- we fight for civil rights.

Seven years ago, the Supreme Court gutted a key provision of the Voting Rights Act that had required certain states and jurisdictions with a history of voting discrimination to seek federal approval before changing any voting laws.

The Shelby County decision unleashed a sudden and persistent wave of restrictive voting laws in states across the country and, unsurprisingly, has had a disproportionate impact on communities of color who have historically faced additional and unnecessary barriers to casting their ballots. As Justice Ginsburg wrote in dissent of the decision, removing the preclearance requirement was like throwing away your umbrella in the middle of a rainstorm because you're not getting wet.

Tomorrow, Thursday, June 25 at 12pm ET, you'll have the opportunity to join A.G. Holder, as well the president of Let America Vote, Tiffany Muller, and our president, Kelly Burton, for an hour-long discussion on the consequences of the Shelby County decision on voting rights. They'll break down the impact of the Court's reckless ruling and provide the roadmap to how we are fighting back to restore voting rights to everyone.

Register for Thursday's virtual event "Seven Years Under Shelby: A Conversation on Voting Rights" here! After you RSVP. you will receive a link to tune into the online discussion that begins at 12pm ET.

BACCF Chamber News June 2020
Dear BACCF Members and Friends,
The BACCF has many exciting initiatives taking place this month and new events coming up that you are not going to want to miss. We have hosted 18 webinars so far this year with one of our most successful events being the “Open Mic,” an event exclusively for members, which was a big hit. If you were unable to attend, do not worry because we are planning to have it once a month moving forward. Another important webinar we have coming up that will also be solely for our BACCF members is on the topic of “Economic Challenges during the Crisis.” This is a special presentation by Roberto Campos Neto, President of Banco Central do Brasil.

I encourage you to visit the Member Information Center (MIC), to stay up to date on job postings and great deals offered to members. You can also go there to register for events, pay balances, read news articles and to let us know about your events that should be included. Joining one of our active BACCF committees is a great opportunity to get involved. Click here to learn more and to check out members who are already participating in a committee. Our social media channels are another great resource to keep updated on recent developments and to invite other friends and business partners to join the organization. Our BACCF accounts on Facebook, LinkedIn and Instagram currently have a reach of nearly 21,000 followers and are gaining more followers every day.

Thank you for your continuous support to the chamber. In July, we will launch the Leadership Series, where business leaders from various industries will join us to share their perspectives and vision for the months ahead. Additional details will be provided along with the virtual opportunities available to promote your businesses.

I look forward to connecting with you soon. Stay safe and take care.

Thank you,

National Democratic Redistricting Committee
With your help, Democrats are gearing up to take back legislative chambers all over the country. And we're going to do it in the face of a $20 million voter intimidation scheme by the GOP.
Help us win fair maps in ALL of our target states! Donate.
The NDRC has been working diligently since 2017 to break GOP trifectas and give Democrats a seat at the redistricting table. But this year is our LAST CHANCE to beat map-rigging Republicans before redistricting begins in 2021.

If we win back state House and Senate chambers in places like Texas, Georgia, Florida, and North Carolina, we'll break the GOP's hold on redistricting power in states with some of the largest congressional delegations in the country.

We need your help to capitalize on this opportunity and secure fair maps nationwide. Please pitch in to help us win in ALL of our target states this November:
