Dila Oliveira Gallery promotes solidarity auction to Casa Santa Terezinha in São Paulo.
Yesterday
(07.13), the charity auction promoted by Dila Oliveira Gallery took place in
the preoil of Casa Santa Terezinha, in her gallery located in Ministro Rocha de
Azedo, in São Paulo. United by life and art, the gallery owner brought together
more than 40 plastic artists and artisans to carry out the 1st Solidarity
Auction in favor of Casa Santa Terezinha with 100% of the proceeds reverted to
Casa Santa Terezinha.
The event was attended
by renowned Brazilian visual artists and businessmen, and aimed to raise funds
for the institution whose mission is to improve the quality of life of children
and adolescents with genodermatoses.
Casa Santa Terezinha is
an institution that fights against prejudice and encourages scientific research
and the implementation of measures aimed at treating congenital skin diseases.
The charity auction promoted by Dila Galeria was 100% in favor of the
institution and aimed to raise funds to help Casa Santa Terezinha continue its
important work.
The event was a success
and was attended by several personalities from the world of arts and business.
The Brazilian plastic artists who participated in the auction donated exclusive
works of art that were auctioned during the event. In addition, businessmen and
other people present at the event also made donations to the institution.
The event was an
example of solidarity and social engagement, showing that it is possible to
unite art and philanthropy in support of a noble cause.

The Brazilian Institute
for the Support of Genodermatoses Carriers (Ibagen)/ Casa Santa Teresinha de
Lisieux (CSTL) is a non-profit association governed by private law and
qualified by the Ministry of Justice, on July 14, 2020, as an Organization of
Civil Society of Public Interest - OSCIP - Law No. 9.790/99, and aims to
improve the quality of life of children and adolescents with genodermatosis,
fight prejudice and encourage, together with the competent bodies, scientific
research and the implementation of measures intended for the treatment of
congenital skin diseases.
The knowledge of the
drama experienced by those families touches the hearts of many people,
especially a group of social entrepreneurs, formed by professionals from
different areas: medical, legal, social assistance, nursing, social
communication, administration, finance, among others, who felt compelled to act
to change the context in which people with congenital skin diseases are
inserted.
The objective is to
remove thousands of children and adolescents from confinement, to provide
adequate medical, psychological and social assistance so that people with these
diseases continue to enjoy a better quality of life.

“We love you, Barbara. We think you would make a great senator. But Adam Schiff, he just looks like a senator.”
I can’t tell you the number of times I’ve heard this on the campaign trail.
And I’ll be honest, it breaks my heart. Like Adam, I have served in Congress for over 20 years. I’ve sponsored over 600 bills. I’ve brought tens of millions of dollars home to California to build affordable housing, create good-paying union jobs, address the climate crisis, and provide housing for the unsheltered.
The difference? Adam is a white man, and I am a Black woman.
You see, since 1789 there have only been two African American women elected to the Senate — Vice President Kamala Harris and former Senator Carol Moseley Braun — who, together, served a total of 10 years. Maybe that’s why when people think about what a Senator looks like, they don’t think of a black woman. Well guess what? I think it's past time we change that. So whenever someone tries to tell me that a Black woman with all the experience I bring to the table can't win — I just smile and say, "Watch me."
We can win this fight — but it's not going to be easy. Black women candidates on average raise just one-third as much money as white women — a metric that has become painfully clear in the fundraising deficit in this race. That's why I'm reaching out: I need to raise another $10,000 by midnight to overcome these hurdles and pull ahead, and I’m counting on your help to get there.
