Countdown to Rock This Town Festival Brasil!
There is exactly one month left to celebrate this
milestone in the Elvis presley’s history fan scene, Rockers and everything that
involves this vintage culture.
After the success of the first edition of Rock This
Town Festival, held in August 2022, the event promoted by Rockers In Brazil won
more editions for the year 2023. As in the previous one, with a date scheduled
for the month of August, on the 19th and 20, to follow the tradition of having
Elvis Presley week as one of the reasons for the party.
Rock This Town Festival Brasil is organized by Rockers
in Brazil, a project led by Moniboop, creator of Moniboopcast. The event always
happens once a year, after Elvis Day, the “Elvis Day Law” – “Rockabillly Day”.
Its production relies on the partnership of Councilor Edir Salles, who
implemented the International Rockabilly Day, idealized by Rocker Peter
Presley, in São Paulo, and, who has supported Elvis Presley Events since when
she instituted the Elvis Presley Day Law and the International Rockabilly Day.
The previous edition took place at Garagem 55, in the São Paulo neighborhood of
Mooca.
The date that honors the rockabilly scene and musician
Elvis Presley will be celebrated in the city annually on August 16, the day the
American singer died in 1977. Thus, every year, events will be scheduled to
honor the legendary musician, the importance of this event in the rock 'n roll
is to show a whole lifestyle inspired by the 1950s and 1960s, which emerged
later.
Bill No. 17,168, by Edir Sales, entered into force on
September 2, 2019.
The idea of Elvis Presley fans coming together to
celebrate and keep alive their common admiration for the “King of Rock”. Elvis'
death completes 46 years in August.

BREAKING: Five Michigan House Democrats are facing recall petitions This is urgent: Five Michigan House Democrats in competitive districts are being targeted with recall petitions. Our hard-won majority could be at risk. Democrats control the Michigan House by a razor-thin margin – losing just two seats could put the chamber back in the hands of the extreme GOP, risking all the progress we’ve made. We’re calling on our grassroots supporters to stand with us right now and help us protect our progress and our majorities in states like Michigan and beyond. Will you rush $7, $25, or anything you can spare today to solidify our majorities and help defend state Democrats against these power-grabs?
If you've stored your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will process immediately. |
These recall efforts were spearheaded by those dead-set on undermining Democrats’ progress in the state – Democrats have passed bills to expand gun safety legislation, defend abortion access, and protect our communities. But opponents of progress aren’t backing down. These baseless recall petitions are an attempt to upend Democrats’ agenda ahead of a critical election year. We can’t let that happen. Chip in right now to stand up to attacks like these and elect Democrats to statehouses in places like Michigan and across the country » This is critical. We’re counting on you to act today. Team DLCC

If you want to help The Collective PAC build Black political power up and down the ballot, and across the country, then you’re in the right place. If you'd like to unsubscribe click here. |
Have you been watching what’s happening in Alabama? BAD NEWS: Alabama’s GOP majority redrew their maps and designed them to SILENCE Black voters.
GOOD NEWS:The Supreme Court ruled that the maps violated the Voting Rights Act and ordered them to be redrawn with a second majority-Black congressional district.
BAD NEWS: Alabama’s GOP majority has decided to just IGNORE the Supreme Court ruling, and is REFUSING to create another Black majority district.
GOOD NEWS: This is not our first rodeo when it comes to dealing with racist legislators who want to silence Black voices (and votes!) and you can help us fix it. Will you chip in $10 or more to make sure we have the resources we need to continue this fight and mobilize Black voters — not just in Alabama, but across the country? If you've stored your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will be processed immediately. |
Thank you for staying in the fight with us.
