Dear Member: Brazil and the United States share long-established partnerships in health, science, technology, and biomedicine. Through direct investment and public-private partnerships, scientists have come together to fight viruses such as HIV / AIDS, Zika, and COVID-19. Our countries are now partnering to fight cancer through the Medulloblastoma Initiative, founded in 2021 by Brazilian businessman Fernando Goldsztein to finance brain cancer research in laboratories in the United States, with clinical trials expected to be submitted to the US Food and Drug Administration by 2024 (see attached).
Considering the many collaborative research partnerships and the enormous potential for innovation, the Brazilian-American Chamber of Commerce will organize a program on the exchanges shared and joint advancements made by Brazil and the United States in health science, health tech, and human medicine. As we begin to structure this program, we welcome your suggestions and insights. Roberto
Camasmie combined sophistication and movement in the works of his new
collection "New York in Gold". They are arts, in 3D perspective, with
fluid figures, silhouettes and shadows that present the individual in movement
towards the light. Created in 24-carat gold leaf, which refer to the power,
luxury and wealth that the city has, they also carry the black and white colors
that stand out and talk to each other
The
city surrounded by gray but with the magnificence and energy that only New York
has, gains light and prominence in the works of the artist “I decided to
recreate the stone jungle that is the city of New York with this impressive
grandeur” concludes Camasmie
The
exhibition opened to the public on September 4th, at the Roberto Camasmie
gallery. "New York in Gold", is totally different from all the themes
that have inspired the artist to date, with 23 canvases, in sizes 1.20m X
0.60cm, 0.50cm X 0.60cm, 0.60 X 0.80cm , acrylic mixed media, relevant paint,
crayons, gold leaf and spray were used.
The
vernissage for guests will take place on Saturday (02) from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm
and the exhibition will be open for visitation at Espaço Camasmie until October
04, 2023.

With
a career spanning more than 50 years, Roberto Camasmie, from São Paulo, is one
of the most renowned visual artists in the country. Descended from a Syrian and
Lebanese family, he has portrayed personalities such as Jaqueline Onassis,
Sophie Loren, Catherine Deneuve and Princess Diana. In addition to his famous
portraits, the artist paints dolls, flowers, Madonnas, animals, saints, cities,
landscapes and prints his brand on a series of products that are available for
licensing, such as table lamps, bags, diaries, jewelry, bags and even
tupperware . For Camasmie, an art has to be popular. “Art has to be in the
hands of the people and not just an elite.”
