Picture this: After a week-long special legislative session, the Alabama Legislature passed yet another gerrymandered congressional map. Despite a Supreme Court decision upholding the Voting Rights Act and affirming that the state should have two Black opportunity districts, the state’s legislature drew a status-quo map that preserves their party’s own power while providing only one Black opportunity district. It’s an absolute disgrace!

Here's the deal: The Republican legislature's gerrymander seriously limits Black voting power in Alabama -- again.
