Sula -- I’m writing today to give you a quick read-out on the state of redistricting. There are a number of states you should have on your radar this week: Ohio, Texas, Colorado, and Nebraska, to name just a few.
These states have all kicked off their redistricting processes -- but not all of them are on track to pass fair maps. Read our latest update to find out what we’re expecting in these key states -- and others -- this week.
In some states, we’re facing a massive multi-level effort to manipulate maps and secure years of conservative power. In Ohio, the draft legislative maps give Republicans a 2:1 advantage even though voters split their votes between the parties more closely to 55/45 over the past decade.
We are in the map drawing phase of redistricting, and efforts to gerrymander some districts are already in full force. Will you chip in to support All On The Line’s work to end map manipulation and achieve fair maps?
