Sula – the past six months of working for fair redistricting have been both exhilarating and challenging.
Exhilarating because we've helped prevent gerrymandered maps in states like Colorado, Oregon, Minnesota, Pennsylvania, and more. Challenging because Republicans continue to use every possible tactic to gerrymander – and they're becoming more ruthless.
We're now transitioning into a new phase of redistricting. Most states have adopted maps, but that doesn't mean the fight is over: With our affiliates, the NDRC continues to defend fair maps and support voters in lawsuits against manipulated maps, hold Republicans accountable for gerrymandering, and, with the 2022 elections coming up, support candidates who will defend fair redistricting.
This new phase is just as important as the last one, and we can't risk losing momentum. So we have to ask: How committed are you to seeing redistricting through to the end? - Very committed
- Somewhat committed
- Not committed
Thank you, NDRC Research Team
