Sula, if you want to see just what we’re up against in the fight for our democracy, take a look at how Republicans are reacting to court rulings in favor of fair maps: “Stung by redistricting rulings, Republicans target state court elections”
“A string of decisions throwing out Republican-drawn congressional maps … has intensified the party's determination to install justices who could give lawmakers fresh opportunities to muscle through more advantageous maps.”

Republicans know they can’t win if they play by the rules. So as usual, they’re trying to change the rules and stack the courts with judges who will decide in their favor instead.
But we don’t have to let them get away with it. The November elections will be key to determining the future of redistricting, so now is the time to fight back.
The good news is we’ve been doing this for a long time, and we’re ready to take on the newest threat to fair maps. But we’re counting on your grassroots support to keep us going, especially at critical moments like this.
So if you can, please make a donation to the NDRC today. Your support is vital to helping us fight in the states and at the ballot box to defend voting rights and end GOP gerrymandering: Thanks,
NDRC Team
