Did you see what President Obama said?

President Obama

"The gains we’ve made in this redistricting cycle are fragile. If we don’t spend the next several months raising the necessary funds ... we could be caught off guard."

We couldn’t agree more, Sula. That’s why we’re committed to continuing our fight against gerrymandering by investing in target races where we’ll work to:

❌ DEFEAT Republicans who seek to undermine our elections with map manipulation and voter suppression.

🛑 STOP the GOP from filling state courts with judges who they believe will rubber-stamp their gerrymandering schemes.

✅ SUPPORT candidates who will defend our democracy and ensure, as President Obama said, that “the rules of the road are fair” for future elections.

We have a plan – but we can’t execute it without your help. So please, will you donate whatever you can to help us invest in the fight to end gerrymandering across the country?

The DSCC is the only committee solely dedicated to supporting Democrats in the U.S. Senate, and our work relies on grassroots supporters like you. If you'd like to make a contribution to support us, please click here.

We're less than six months away from the midterms which means now is the time to check in with those around us to ensure all voters are registered, and we have a plan for who we want to vote for down the ballot in November.

Take it from voting rights champion Michelle Obama herself:

Michelle Obama: We’ve got to make sure everyone we know is voting… in every single election at every single level, for decades if that’s what it takes.

Change begins at the local level – as the only Democratic committee dedicated to electing state legislative candidates across the country, the DLCC is working to empower voters to support state Democratic candidates.

We’re polling local Democrats to see who will pledge to vote this November – and we’re asking for responses from you NOW:

Can you pledge to vote on November 8th on behalf of local Democrats?

Michelle Obama is right – every single vote in every single election has the power to make a difference. We have the power to use our voice for good, and root out the extremist right-wing politicians seated in our local governments today.

It’s so important that the DLCC team hears from you as we work to elect Democrats in state offices nationwide. People like you help us get a better idea of where our support is strongest, and how to strategize as a committee ahead of November to make sure we spread awareness about down-ballot races.

Please take this opportunity to represent local Democrats and answer a few questions from us about your plans to vote on November 8th.

Waiting on your response,
DLCC Team

Here’s the deal, Sula – the Roberts Supreme Court doesn’t seem to care if redistricting is fair.

Salon:
“Supreme Court lets states use illegally gerrymandered GOP maps in 2022 midterm elections”
FIGHT BACK NOW

So it’s clear our movement can’t rely on SCOTUS. Instead, we have to be proactive about building on the progress we’ve made toward fair redistricting and securing a future in which fair elections are protected.

How do we do that? By using the 2022 elections to:

➞ Support Democrats who will fight for fair maps

➞ Hold Republican map manipulators like Ron DeSantis accountable

➞ Prevent the GOP from stacking state courts

➞ Defend our democracy

Help us do it >>>

The NDRC just announced our initial list of 2022 Democracy Targets, dozens of races for offices that will play a critical role in determining whether redistricting is fair and whether our democracy is strong – or compromised.

Sula, as someone who cares about fair maps and voting rights, you've seen what Republicans are willing to do in service of cementing their own power. This election could be our last chance to stop them.

Will you chip in to support our 2022 work?

Sula,

Juneteenth commemorates the end of slavery in America -- a moment certainly worth celebrating. But it’s also a day for us to reflect on the emotional and intentional work that still needs to be done to make this a country that is truly equitable for Black people.

We’re now two years removed from the protests that spread across the world in the wake of George Floyd’s murder. In those two years, we saw the defeat and de-platforming of Donald Trump, but we’ve also seen more failures to achieve justice in the criminal justice system, a rise in hate crimes targeting Black communities, and renewed attempts to shut Black voters out of elections through voter suppression and gerrymandering.

This all makes it clear that we should feel an urgency to promote equity and root out hate in this country.

Our team at All On The Line believes that systemic racism is real and prevalent in America. It pervades our communities, workplaces, and government. We’re taking a moment of reflection this Juneteenth to think intentionally about the part that each of us can play to not just say, but demonstrate, that Black Lives Matter.

As one of our online supporters, we recognize that one way many of you choose to make change is through financial contributions. We wanted to point you toward a partner that we’ve been proud to work with if today you’re considering contributing to an organization that’s doing impactful work in Black communities.

BLOC (Black Leaders Organizing for Communities) is working to lift up the Black citizens, leaders, and businesses in Milwaukee and throughout Wisconsin -- a critical region of focus in both the fights to fix our criminal justice system and restore our democracy. Donations to BLOC allow them to hold elected officials accountable and promote ways to make an impact at the community level.

Will you take action this Juneteenth by pitching in a few dollars to BLOC to fund their community-based organizing that can make lasting change for Black communities in Wisconsin?

In solidarity,
The AOTL Team

First we launched the NDRC to prevent Republicans from manipulating the maps the way they did in 2011. We helped give Democrats a seat at the map-drawing table and supported redistricting reforms.

Then thanks to your help, we were able to secure what The New York Times called the most balanced congressional map in a generation.

But Republicans doubled down on their gerrymandering, leading President Obama to warn us that "The gains we've made in this redistricting cycle are fragile."

So now, we're taking the fight into the 2022 midterm elections by targeting dozens of races that will determine whether we can achieve fair redistricting and a functioning democracy.

And we urgently need your help with all our work, Sula. Will you pitch in now?

We have plans to target dozens of races in at least 17 states, from governor's races in Wisconsin and Nevada to state supreme court races to state legislative contests in Pennsylvania and Michigan. But whether we can invest at the level we need to in these races and all our work in the fight for fair maps depends on how much support we get from our online grassroots donors.

That's why I'm coming to you today. We just made this announcement and it's important to strike while the iron is hot. Before you do anything else, will you send a quick donation to the NDRC to help us defend democracy in the 2022 elections?
