ACLASP in a ceremony commemorating the Jorge Amado’s birthday and historical Merit Communication and Marketing to Sula Costa
The tribute ceremony promoted by the Brazilian Academy of Sciences, History and Literature and the Academy of Science and Art of São Paulo, took place in the latter (08.15th) at Casa de Portugal, in the Liberdade neighborhood in São Paulo. The event took place at the Luiz de Camões Library, which celebrated the birth of Jorge Amado and the inauguration of new academics.
The ceremony had the always illustrious presence of Roberto Ferrari, ACLASP’s President, who cited his poetic tales praising the figure of the Brazilian writer Jorge Amado and his importance for the cultural scene of Brazil.

The event took place at the Luiz de Camões Library, which celebrated the birth of Jorge Amado and the inauguration of new academics.
The ceremony had the always illustrious presence of Roberto Ferrari, president of ACLASP, who cited his poetic tales praising the figure of the Brazilian writer Jorge Amado and his importance for the cultural scene of Brazil.
One of the highlights of the night was for journalist Sula Costa, who received historical and cultural merit for her services to the city of São Paulo.
The journalist is the founder of the World Art Show, Gallery and Organization that promotes Brazilian artists and has been established in São Paulo since 2017, with a strong presence in the communication area as a correspondent for the NaMidia portal, Life Fashion Magazine in New York and currently an International Correspondent for CBTUR (Brazilian Tourism Chamber).
In a few years Sula Costa has one of the most notable art galleries on Avenida Pacaembu 1849, at Espaço Ortobom Arquitetura e Design, in one of the most exquisite architectural spaces in this sector in São Paulo. His project at the World Art Show gained prominence in Forbes in London and in the Brazilian Times in New York for creating a Botanical Garden Room in honor of Robert Burle Marx's landscaping projects. A permanent environment in Espaço Ortobom, which ended up being very frequented by plastic artists and collectors who live in São Paulo.
Sula Costa is from Anápolis, GO, studied Marketing, Advertising and Journalism. In NY, he worked with international film production companies, Organizations of Research Institute in Preservation of the Environment at the UN. He studied TV production in California and photography in NY. He worked on restoration, construction and intervention projects, cultural planning for Brazil. Covered the main economic events in Brazil in New York; where he worked as an international correspondent for the late columnist Gilberto Amaral, in addition to working with Public Relations at Casa do Brasil Internacional in New York.
She is Executive Director of Costa Consulting, a consultancy and cultural promotion company and World Art Show company that supports visual art in Brazil.
