Fine Art Valques Pimenta receive  honore by the World Academy of Letters of Humanity.

On this last day, April 26th, the tribute ceremony “Rui Barbosa Medal” was held, promoted by the World Academy of Humanity Letters. The event promoted by President Dom Barão Ednei and his Vice-President – Camilo Martins paid homage to the renowned plastic artist Valques Pimenta. This honor is well-deserved recognition for the years of hard work, dedication and innovation that the artist has brought to the art world.

Valques Pimenta is an artist who represents naive art. Multifaceted, whose work transits between different languages and techniques, exploring painting, installation and other forms of artistic expression. His work is marked by originality, richness of detail and profound reflection on social, political and cultural issues that affect humanity.

The tribute granted by the World Academy of Letters of Humanity is proof of the international recognition of Valques Pimenta's work, as well as the impact he has had on society, since he is the son of Nilson Pimenta , a famous Brazilian artist , born in Cuiabá – MT..

Valques Pimenta has been painting since he was five years old, the artist began attending the Ateliê Livre at the Federal University of Mato Grosso (UFMT), where Nilson taught painting. It was natural for him when he started making “the first doodles”.

The artist says that naturalness was also part of his father's journey as a painter. When he lived in the countryside, his father Nilson earned tips for opening farm gates and, between cars, he used to draw charcoal on the gates.

Friend, I’m Colin Allred, and I’m running for U.S. Senate to defeat Ted Cruz and deliver better, stronger leadership for the people of Texas.

Winning in Texas will all but guarantee Democrats are able to defend our razor-thin Senate majority – and CNN is already calling Ted Cruz one of the most vulnerable Senators in the country!

That’s why I need you with me from day one: Please, will you split $10 or whatever you can spare between my campaign and The Collective PAC to help reach my ambitious Launch Day goal of $500,000? Every dollar you can spare will help us build a people-powered movement to defeat Ted Cruz, flip Texas blue and defend our Senate majority. Please donate now →

If you've stored your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will be processed immediately and split between Colin Allred and The Collective PAC.

I’m a 4th generation Texan, born and raised in Dallas by a single mom. My mom was a public school teacher and sometimes worked two jobs to make ends meet. Thanks to my family and a strong support system of teachers, coaches, and the good folks at the YMCA, I earned a full ride football scholarship to Baylor University and then went on to play in the NFL.

But playing football was never my only dream – from a young age I knew I wanted to help people. So I became a civil rights attorney to defend what I believe is our most fundamental right: the right to vote. I proudly served in President Obama’s administration before I came home to Dallas, where I’m now raising my family.

I ran for Congress because I wanted more kids in North Texas to have the opportunity to achieve their version of the American dream and protect the fundamental values of our democracy – and I beat the odds to defeat an 11-term Republican incumbent, helping Democrats flip the House blue in 2018.

Now, I’m ready for my next challenge: taking on Ted Cruz. I know it won’t be easy, but I also know that Texans deserve so much better than Ted Cruz’s cynical partisan politics. Everything Ted Cruz does is for Ted Cruz – when I’m in the Senate, everything I do will be to help people like you. But I can’t get there alone:

That’s why I’m asking you to chip in right now to become a founding donor of my campaign on day one. We’re going to need an unprecedented grassroots movement to unseat Ted Cruz and I’m counting on you to be a part of it. Please, split $10 or whatever you can spare between my campaign and The Collective PAC to help win in Texas, defeat Ted Cruz and defend our Democratic Senate majority →

Thank you so much for helping me launch this campaign. We have a long way to go, but together, I know we’ve got what it takes to win this thing.

Let’s do this,

Colin Allred
