Cris Pires Furtado is featured in the 8th edition of the Luxus Magazine 2024 Arts Yearbook
Renowned artist Cris
Pires Furtado is featured in the 8th Edition of Luxus Magazine's Art Yearbook,
an event that continues to be a milestone in the contemporary art scene of
Brazilian artists. This yearbook highlights more than 50 artists, presenting
the history and works of personalities who are actively involved in the Brazilian
Contemporary Art scene. Among the artists who have been featured in previous
editions are renowned names such as Kobra, Romero Britto, Bia Dória and Tico
Canato. The launch ceremony will take place in São Paulo on November 9th,
starting at 10 am, at the Museum of Sacred Art. The artist is recognized as one
of the prominent figures in Brazilian art, and her participation in the
yearbook is an indication of the recognition that her works have achieved on
the national and international scene. This year, Cris Pires Furtado also shone
at the 37th Contemporary Art Exhibition, held in September 2024, at the
Brazilian British Center. The event, impeccably promoted by InnGallery in
partnership with Vida - Casa de Apoio da Granja Viana, highlighted the
versatility and depth of the artist's work, which has been presenting a new
phase in her creations.
In addition to
participating in the Yearbook and the Exhibition, Furtado is preparing for a
new presentation in São Paulo, in the exhibition "Olhar
Contemporâneo", which will be held at Odisseia Casa de Cultura. Her works
are a reflection on the contemporary world, mixing techniques and styles that
dialogue with the audience in a unique way.
The presence of Cris
Pires Furtado in events of great importance such as these reinforces her
position as one of the main artists of her generation and promises to generate
a significant impact on the Brazilian visual arts scene. It is a moment of
celebration and expectation, where admirers and new audiences will have the
opportunity to appreciate a work that is, without a doubt, a valuable
contribution to the country's visual culture.

| | | In an effort to reconcile its tax system with the OECD’s Global Anti-Base Erosion (GloBE) Pillar Two regulations, Brazil issued on October 3, 2024 Provisional Measure 1,262/2024 and Normative Instruction RFB No. 2,228/2024. These legislative and administrative measures introduce an additional Social Contribution on Net Income (CSLL) to ensure a minimum effective tax rate of 15% for multinational enterprises. This move is part of Brazil’s commitment to fair taxation within the global economic framework, which will further its reputation as a transparent and equitable jurisdiction for multinational business operations. The Brazilian-American Chamber of Commerce is pleased to welcome Bruno Marques Santo, Partner at Finocchio & Ustra Advogados; Daniel Loria, Director at the Extraordinary Secretariat for Tax Reform at the Ministry of Finance of Brazil; and Nathaniel Carden, Partner, International Tax; Tax Controversy & Litigation at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP to address Brazil’s adoption of the Pillar Two rules, as well as tax mechanisms of Provisional Measure 1,262/2024 and Normative Instruction RFB 2,228/2024. |

Election day is here and we cannot afford to have any voters sit this one out.
With just hours left to make a difference in one of the most important elections of our lifetime, we have to ask: Have you voted yet?
The truth is that it’s going to come down to voter turnout, especially Black voter turnout in key cities in battleground states like Philadelphia, Detroit, and Milwaukee.
We need each and every voter to show up and help us send Kamala Harris to the White House with a Democratic Senate and House behind her.

We’ve done our part — supporting our endorsed candidates and mobilizing voters across the country— and now we are counting on you.
When we vote, we win.
— Quentin & Stefanie Co-founders, The Collective PAC
The Collective PAC is strategically focused on creating a truly equitable democracy where our nation’s local, state and federal governments have diverse and talented elected leadership and Black people are fully represented in positions of power to create the policies necessary to progress our communities forward. Since our inception in 2016, we have helped 500 candidates win general elections at the local, state and federal levels. We strive to support the next wave of progressive and unapologetic Black candidates who will usher in a sea of change in our political system while helping America fulfill its promise of democracy by creating a government that will truly be for the people and of the people. |

| | | Hi team, it’s Martin Sheen. | While you might recognize me from my roles as an actor—including one former (fictional) president—I’m reaching out to you today as an American citizen who’s concerned about the most important Senate race in the country. | The Senate majority will come down to Senator Jon Tester’s race in Montana, where election experts are predicting a “toss-up” election. | If you’re able, please split a donation right now between Catherine Cortez Masto's and Jon Tester’s campaign to help Jon defeat Mitch McConnell’s handpicked candidate and save the Senate majority. | | We know what will happen if Jon loses his race in Montana. | If Republicans flip this seat, they’ll take back control of the Senate majority. They’ll launch an assault on women’s bodily autonomy. They’ll undermine voting rights and the foundations of our democracy. They’ll privatize health care, transfer off public lands, and pull the rug out from under Americans in favor of their extreme agenda. | To stop them, Jon will need every bit of support he can get. Jon’s running against an out-of-state multimillionaire, and Republican groups are outspending his campaign. | Jon is counting on your grassroots donation to combat the nearly $90 million Mitch McConnell’s cronies are pouring into Montana to flip his seat—a seat experts agree will determine control of the Senate. | Please, will you split $5 or more to help Jon Tester win in Montana? Election Day is today, so every donation matters in a race as impactful as this one. | If you've saved payment information with ActBlue Express, your split donation between Jon Tester and Catherine Cortez Masto will go through immediately: | Thank you, | Martin Sheen |
