Caiado fulfills agenda in Piracicaba and reinforces pre-candidacy with criticisms of the country's economic management.



Ronaldo Caiado, the PSD's pre-candidate for President of the Republic and former governor of Goiás, was in Piracicaba on Tuesday, May 5th, to fulfill an agenda focused on dialogue with local leaders, representatives of the productive sector, and religious authorities.

The main activity was a visit to the city's Diocese, as well as the Commercial and Industrial Association of Piracicaba, located in the city's central region. The meeting brought together businesspeople, public managers, and members of civil society, creating a space for discussion about the current political and economic scenario of the country.

During his visit, Caiado highlighted that his trip to Piracicaba was at the invitation of the local diocese, evangelical leaders, and representatives of the industrial and commercial sectors. He emphasized the importance of the region, stating that he was familiar with its development history, especially in the context of the Proálcool program and the strength of the sugarcane and energy sector, highlighting the mills and the relevance of agricultural production.

The pre-candidate also stated that the moment was opportune to reconnect with rural producers and discuss the challenges faced by the sector. According to him, there is a delicate scenario marked by financial imbalances that impact not only the countryside but also commerce and, consequently, Brazilian families. Caiado criticized the high interest rates and assessed that, in recent years, the federal government has left important gaps in economic management.

In his speech, he also mentioned the role of the Social Democratic Party (PSD) and its president, Gilberto Kassab, in presenting criticisms and proposals related to the national scenario. He also addressed the issue of rare earth elements in Goiás, advocating for greater openness to international partnerships and investments, including possible exchanges with countries such as China and the United States, focusing on the valorization of these strategic resources.

Caiado highlighted that Goiás' development is not limited to agribusiness, pointing to advances in areas such as artificial intelligence and bioenergy. Comparing this to the national scenario, he stated that the country needs to advance on structural issues and avoid polarizations that, according to him, hinder progress.

Finally, the pre-candidate reinforced his firm position regarding the presidential race, emphasizing that his proposal is based on management, planning, and results. Without adopting an aggressive tone, he defended that areas such as education, health, and public safety—which were priorities in his state administration—should be fundamental pillars for Brazil's development.
