CORPO MANIFESTO celebrates 25 years of poetic creation and resistance by artist Sérgio Adriano H at CCBB SP.

The exhibition CORpo MANIFESTO, by Afro-diasporic artist Sérgio Adriano H, arrives at CCBB São Paulo celebrating 25 years of a career marked by resistance, critical research, and the symbolic power of a body that asserts itself as a manifesto. Curated by Claudinei Roberto da Silva and Juliana Crispe, the exhibition invites the public to a profoundly sensory, political, and poetic experience, reaffirming the relevance of contemporary Black production in Brazil.

The exhibition brings together more than 100 works, including photographs, videos, objects, sculptures, installations, and performances, that explore themes such as structural racism, decoloniality, memory, Black identity, and the construction of new Afro-diasporic imaginaries. For the artist, the body is the starting point for thinking about resistance, symbolic disputes, and new ways of existing in a society marked by colonial violence.

The São Paulo season also features new works and actions, such as the performance “deCOLONIZE BODIES,” which opens the exhibition, and the installation developed especially for the windows of the CCBB SP Annex Space — a proposal that expands art beyond institutional walls and establishes a direct dialogue with the city and its passersby.

“The window display becomes an extension of my work, which seeks to bring art to all places. The idea is to create a direct connection with people who don't feel invited to enter cultural spaces.”

There are 13 special elections happening before the end of the year. With Trump and his state-level allies withholding SNAP funding, increasing health care premiums, and raising costs for you and your family, building Democratic power in the states is the best way to fight for progress in communities like yours.

Six states are holding elections that require our immediate attention. But we’re trailing behind our fundraising goals, and the only way we can win in upcoming elections is by raising the resources we need to compete.

$7 from you is all we’re asking for to help fund state Democrats in our fight to secure victory in upcoming elections nationwide.

Can we count on you to chip in a triple-matched $7 to help the DLCC defeat extreme Republicans in state legislative elections across the country?

Thanksgiving List 2025: Turkey, Gravy, Mashed Potatoes, Stuffing, Sweet Potatoes, Pumpkin Pie, and Meals for Our Troops

USO Supporter,

What are the foods and traditions you and your family hold dear at Thanksgiving? It might be a dish your grandmother makes. Or that special dessert that only your mom can bake just right.

For many of us, holiday traditions are a treasured part of life we look forward to each year — and for service members deployed far from home, those cherished moments will be missed this year.

Family is thousands of miles away. Forget about a special meal with loved ones — they may not even get a chance to sit down and relax. It might just be another Thursday at work.

That's why we're asking military supporters to take a moment for our heroes this Thanksgiving season. During this difficult time of year, you can help make Thanksgiving the special holiday our troops deserve.

Right now, the NFL is matching all gifts, up to $50,000. Now is a critical time to help ensure we can provide holiday meals and other vital support in time for Thanksgiving. Please give today to show your gratitude for our troops.

No service member should feel forgotten this Thanksgiving. Right now, we are falling short of our meals goal. We can't reach as many service members as possible this Thanksgiving without your help.

The USO is not a government agency. We rely on patriotic supporters like you who want to help those who defend our freedoms. Now is the time to stand with our heroes, while they are sacrificing time with their families and serving around the world to keep our nation safe.

Your generous gift today can help provide Thanksgiving meals. Please hurry — this match offer is only active for a limited time. Our heroes in uniform are counting on YOU this Thanksgiving.

Always For the People Who Serve,

Tabitha Glenn

Special screening of the documentary "The Joker of Cinema" brings together audiences and celebrates Virgílio Roveda's career at the São Paulo Press Association.

It happen on the last 19th, a special screening of the documentary "The Joker of Cinema" took place at API – Associação Paulista de Imprensa (São Paulo Press Association), in an evening marked by memory, recognition, and celebration of the history of São Paulo cinema. The screening, held in the Sala Nobre (Noble Hall) of the Palácio da Imprensa (Press Palace) in the historic center of São Paulo, was free and brought together professionals in the field, students, admirers of the seventh art, and guests.

The event featured an enriching conversation with filmmaker Virgílio Roveda – the protagonist of the work – accompanied by the documentary team. The dialogue revealed previously untold stories, behind-the-scenes curiosities, and reflections on the inner workings of Brazilian film production, especially that of professionals who, despite being fundamental, often remain invisible to the general public.

Directed by Sérgio Kieling and inspired by the book by journalist and writer Matheus Trunk, the documentary "The Joker of Cinema" relives the trajectory of Virgílio Roveda, who has just completed 60 years of his career. With over five decades dedicated to São Paulo's audiovisual industry, Virgílio worked in various genres and roles—cameraman, director of photography, producer—becoming an essential figure in understanding the technical and creative evolution of cinema in the state.

Released in 2019, the film is a tribute to the anonymous technicians who, with talent and resilience, built the history of Brazilian cinema. Through Roveda's narrative, the documentary traces an affective and historical panorama of national production, highlighting technological changes, the challenges faced by the profession, and the unwavering love for this art.

The special screening reinforced API's commitment to valuing cultural initiatives that preserve the country's audiovisual memory, bringing the public closer to works that reveal the importance of the behind-the-scenes aspects and their protagonists.

Dear USO Supporter,

As a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, I can tell you it's the holidays that were the most difficult days to be deployed.

I remember being stationed in Japan when Thanksgiving rolled around. Some of us gathered our money, and we bought a Thanksgiving meal to go.

We didn't really have a place to eat it — then we remembered the USO. They had a nice little room, and it was the only place that wasn't going to charge us to sit together and eat our Thanksgiving meal.

We brought all our food and broke bread together right there in the USO Center. And it made the day special.

There are thousands of service members who are far from home this Thanksgiving, protecting our nation while we get to celebrate with our loved ones. They need your support.

I hope you'll sign the Thanksgiving card for our service members stationed around the world right now.

With only days until Thanksgiving, time is running out to thank our heroes. Sign the Card.

Please add your name now to show your support for our brave service members

Will you help us reach our 50,000-signature goal and add your name to our Thanksgiving card today? Speaking from experience, it will mean so much to the men and women far from their families this Thanksgiving.

By signing, you're telling the brave men and women of our armed forces that their service and sacrifices will never be taken for granted.

Please show your patriotic support for our military and sign the card today.

On behalf of our heroes,

Barry Morris

⇒ Democrats just won important races across the country in LANDSLIDE victories.

⇒ So now, Trump and MAGA Republicans are furious – they’re gearing up to keep their grip on Congress in 2026 and CRUSH our momentum any way they can.

Folks, the Supreme Court will soon hear a case in which Republicans are challenging a law about mail-in ballots. Their decision could have MAJOR implications for vote-by-mail nationwide!

Trump already said he wants to END vote-by-mail. And with the extremist Supreme Court enabling his every move, they could actually do it. That would be a DISASTER!!

We need to send a message LOUD and CLEAR to the Supreme Court – we will NOT let them destroy this Constitutional right! Sign our petition to demand the Supreme Court protect mail-in voting >>

Winning these races would restore a tie for Democrats in this chamber.

Losing would give Republicans an edge heading into the midterm elections.
