The New York Times is reporting that the Jan. 6 committee has identified possible criminal charges against Trump.

The House committee investigating the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol believes there is evidence that former President Donald J. Trump and some of his allies conspired to commit fraud and obstruction. We can't let the egregious attack on Jan. 6 go without accountability. The committee is so important to our democracy, but we need to hear from top Democrats like you, friend. The little girl in this photo has no clue what a wild ride life has in store for her. Right now, all she knows is the joy of weekend camping with her family, tearing into her mom’s homemade meatballs and begging her dad to buy her a dirt bike.

Her dad raised her on three principles: work hard, be honest and respect everyone. She spent her life watching him pour his heart into bettering his community, and she became a first-generation college graduate and pursued a career in law to protect that community.

She went on to be elected Nevada’s attorney general just as the 2008 financial crisis wreaked havoc on America’s middle-class families and our economy. She took on the Big Banks with a fellow attorney general from California and secured $1.9 billion in relief for Nevada homeowners.

In 2016, she would make history as the first woman from Nevada and first Latina ever elected to the United States Senate. The odds were stacked against her, and many said she had no chance of winning. Mitch McConnell and the GOP spent nearly $50 million to defeat her, but her grassroots team stood by her every step of the way.

Friend, my story is one of community. It made me who I am today, and it's why I fight so hard for Nevada in the Senate. People doubted that a Latina could compete and overcome the odds to win. I’ve proven them wrong every time, and I know that with your help, I can do it again.

It included Mom inviting family over for New Year’s Eve, raising a toast as the clock struck midnight. But above all else, my mother gave me nonstop, unconditional love in so many ways. She fostered in me a deep sense of confidence in who I was and who I could be by teaching me how to think for myself,  how to use my own voice, and how to understand my own worth.   I simply wouldn’t be who I am today without her. That’s why this Mother’s Day, I’m proud to announce that the exhibit “Opening the White House”  in the Obama Presidential Center Museum will be named in honor of my mom, Marian Robinson.    In this exhibit, visitors will discover the many ways Barack and I—and also my mother—worked to make the White House an active place of inclusion, innovation, and culture.    It’ll be infused with so many of the values she instilled in me: community, family, bringing people in—making them feel at home.   The exhibit will feature scale replicas of the East Room, where we held big dinners; the Blue Room, where we decorated a huge Christmas tree for the holidays; and the South Lawn, where we hosted Garden Tours, Easter Egg Rolls, state arrivals, and more.
