, ➞ Courts wouldn't be able to stop the GOP from gerrymandering congressional districts. ➞ The resulting representatives elected by more gerrymandered maps could support extreme policies like a national abortion ban. ➞ They could simply ignore voters, similar to what they're currently doing on the state level. ◆ For example, even though 60% of Wisconsinites are pro-choice, Wisconsin Republicans support a state law banning abortion that was written in 1849. We have to show that we're not going to let them get away with this. Will you rush a donation to the NDRC today? If Republican state legislatures have excessive control over federal elections, then GOP-controlled states could even refuse to certify valid election results. It would be Trump's attempt to steal the 2020 election on steroids.
Thanks,
