renowned fashionist Sandro Santos, PrivateLabelSP’s founder, aims to offer
professional qualifications in the cutting and sewing sector to professionals
who do not have the financial resources to invest in their training.
Sandro Santos, born in Bahian-BA dedicated to the study of fashion in
Milan, based in São Paulo for 20 years, was recognized in 2023 by the World
Academy of Letters for Humanity, awarded the Gianni Versace Commendation, with
the goal of promoting black consciousness and training professionals. qualified
in the fashionist sector, enabling them to achieve their dreams and stand out
in the job market.
The idea for the project came from the fashionist's
observation that many professionals have intuitive skills but are not valued in
the job market because they do not have training or financial resources. Those
selected go through a process of technical and practical training, with
theoretical and practical classes in cutting and sewing, as well as workshops on
fashion and entrepreneurship. The project also offers support for creating your
own business, with guidance on management and strategic planning.
The project seeks to
select candidates who demonstrate talent and desire to improve in the fashion
field, offering them the opportunity to participate in courses and workshops
taught by renowned professionals in the sector.
Furthermore, the idea
of the Bahian fashionista is to promote black consciousness, valuing
Afro-Brazilian culture and history. To this end, cultural activities and
lectures are held on the importance of representation and diversity in the
world of fashion.
The "Sew Your
Dreams" project is an important initiative to promote equality and
inclusion in the fashion job market. By offering training and entrepreneurship
opportunities for professionals, the project contributes to the formation of a
more diverse and representative sector, in addition to valuing Afro-Brazilian
culture.
