About Marcos Damascena

Hyper-realist artist, Markus Dhamascena began his artistic career in 2001, based on the concepts of painting and philosophy. For ten years, he formed the conceptual basis for a journey in search of the symbolism of art. In this meeting, colossal in all spheres, a pure and detailed work was created that transmutes the conflict between religious syncretism and miscegenation, poetry and feelings. Work that brings in the smell of oil paint the magic of different cultural matrices. And this path made Damascena an award-winning artist, portraying the features of Naomi Campbell in his art. In 2010, he was the first Brazilian selected for the Art Renewal Center, ARC, in New York, one of the largest art institutes in the world, where he became part of the group of living masters, the Associate Living Master, who are artists at the level of great masters such as, for example, Rembrandt. Among his recognitions, he was invited to be a member of the Mondial Art Academia, in France, and the Accademia Internazionale d'Arte Moderna, in Rome, Italy. With the exhibition "Véu de Expressões" he was congratulated with the gold medal at the Vienna and Rome International Salons, at the Associação Paulista de Belas Artes, APBA, and at Native American Fine Art, NAFA. Currently, his works are part of private collections around the world and he is also the founder of the Damascene Academy of Art, Culture and History, ADACH, which aims to bring art to children from different social classes.
