This summer, the DLCC hosted our first-ever Down Ballot Defenders Summit, featuring top Democratic leaders in the states, outlining the importance of upcoming elections, and highlighting our strongest path to defend our democracy. There will be plenty to catch up on after the elections in November, so I’m personally reaching out to invite you to our virtual Mid-Election Cycle Down Ballot Defenders Summit on November 20th. This briefing will be a prime opportunity to hear directly from our team about the outcome of this year’s elections in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Virginia, learn how the DLCC’s work directly contributed to over 30 special election victories so far this year, and how our movement is preparing for the 2026 midterm elections. Will you RSVP for our virtual Mid-Election Cycle Down Ballot Defenders Summit on Thursday, November 20th? It’d mean so much to know that you’re attending. RSVP »People like you drive our movement to build Democratic power every day, and without your support, none of our work would be possible, so I hope to see you at next month’s virtual gathering. Looking forward to it,
Heather Heather Williams President Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee
Sula, Right now, the Supreme Court is deliberating on a case, Louisiana v. Callais, that could upend our democracy — and who holds power in it — for decades to come. At stake is Section 2 of the Voting Rights Act (VRA), which prevents states from diluting the votes of people based on their race. If the Supreme Court decides to weaken the VRA or even strike it down, that would open the floodgates for politicians to slice and dice districts in deeply harmful ways that would deny voters of color the opportunity to elect candidates of their choice. We know where this kind of map-rigging lands us: less power for voters of color and more consolidation for the party in power. We simply can’t let that happen. Already, politicians are saying publicly that they’re watching the Supreme Court closely — and getting ready to redraw their maps if the Court decides to gut Section 2. That’s where we come in. All On The Line has to be ready with the organizing power we need after this critical ruling comes down. We must be prepared to mobilize voters and organize volunteers in the next stage of this fight, regardless of what happens next. Help All On The Line continue to fight for fairness and lead the movement to ensure equitable representation — not just in next year’s midterms, but for years to come. | If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately: | | | | | | |

🫏 If you are a local Democrat, please continue reading.
State Democrats are facing several competitive special elections over the next few months.
We’re counting on grassroots supporters to help elect Democrats who will block the extreme MAGA agenda. A 3X-matched $7 donation is all it takes to fuel our work → |
If every supporter reading this donated a triple-matched gift of $7 to support state Dems today, we’d have the resources to defend and expand Democratic power in state legislatures across the map. 💪
But we know not everyone can pitch in right now, so we’re relying on our most dedicated supporters to make your first donation of the year to the DLCC. |
We hope you can step up today. 🙂
Thank you,
Team DLCC |
