Trump signed more executive orders in the first 10 days of his second term than any recent president has in their first 100 days. The Trump Administration’s federal funding freeze continues to spark chaos and Republicans threaten to raise costs by gutting and sowing confusion around programs like Medicaid. Thousands of federal government employees have been laid off – including researchers working on cancer treatment, NPS park rangers, and more than a dozen DOJ staffers who worked on criminal prosecutions of Trump. We know these actions have real consequences for millions of people in your community and beyond. Will you share how the second Trump Administration has impacted you? USO Supporter, This year marks 15 years since we began our annual USO T-shirt campaign to honor the people who serve. In that time, the USO T-shirt has become something like a uniform that gives military supporters the chance to show their gratitude for our service members while supporting the USO’s mission to serve the people who serve. And because of how important the USO T-shirt has become, we’re now inviting top supporters like you to help us choose the design for 2025. The members of our Armed Forces wear a variety of uniforms, but there is only ONE official uniform of military supporters that you can wear to show them how grateful and appreciative you are of their service. That’s why we think you should have a say in deciding the design for our 2025 USO T-shirt — but voting closes soon, and you still haven’t cast your vote! Please: Submit your vote in our 2025 USO T-Shirt Design Contest now, and we'll let you know the winning design as soon as it's released, and give you the chance to be among the first to get yours. Thank you for helping to make all of our work For the People Who Serve™ possible. —The USO | | | 2025 SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITYIN LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT AWARD |

The Brazilian-American Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce Ensina Brasil as the recipient of the 2025 Social Responsibility in Leadership Development Award. The award recognizes the organization’s entrepreneurship in social responsibility in the area of leadership development, promoting the betterment of society at large.
Co-founded by social entrepreneur and 2012 Person of the Year Fellow Érica Butow, Ensina Brasil is a non-profit organization that aims to mobilize diverse talent and develop leaders to transform the educational system in Brazil, beginning in the classroom. The organization recruits, selects, and trains young graduates from the best universities in the country to become full-time teachers in high-need public schools. These teachers develop as future leaders, multiplying their impact within and beyond the classroom to transform Brazil’s educational ecosystem.
Ensina Brasil currently has 220 teachers working in 130 public schools in six Brazilian states and, in its nine years of operation, has touched more than 430,000 students. This impact is enhanced by robust training and skill development focused on problem solving, creativity, innovation, self-knowledge, networking, and collaboration, to multiply the impact of participants as teachers and leaders in education.
The Ensina Brasil network strengthens a culture that inspires and engages its community. The motivation and mindsets shaped in the classroom profoundly affect the worldview of participants and positively radiate to students, other teachers, principals, and the school communities as a whole, creating a multiplier effect that generates greater opportunity for all.
Since 2017, Ensina Brasil has mobilized more than 109,000 applicants and is among the largest independent social education organizations in Brazil. Through leadership development, Ensina Brasil generates profound structural change within Brazil’s educational system and paves the way for all children to receive quality education.
The Social Responsibility in Leadership Development Award will be presented to Ensina Brasil at the 2025 Person of the Year Awards Gala Dinner on May 14th at the American Museum of Natural History.

Here’s how state Democrats in places like your community are taking action to protect people like you →
- Democracy: States like Michigan and Nevada have passed new laws to criminalize attempts to intimidate election workers or impede voting.
- Abortion Access: States like California, Illinois, and Maine have passed laws to protect out-of-state patients seeking care and shield providers.
- LGBTQ+ Rights: Democratic legislatures in Minnesota, Michigan, and Nevada passed laws to ensure equal rights and ban conversion therapy.
…And that’s just scratching the surface.
Everything from the roads you drive to what your children are taught in school is decided by your state legislators. We must continue to build Democratic power in our statehouses to counter Trump and Republicans’ right-wing agenda. |

Democrats are facing a must-win special election in Pennsylvania next month. If we win, we’ll defend our hard-won majority in the PA House and fend off a right-wing takeover of the chamber. If we lose, the GOP will take full control of the legislature, blocking Democratic Gov. Shapiro’s agenda and paving the way for far-right attacks on voting, abortion access, and workers’ rights. With a Republican trifecta in D.C., we cannot risk losing ground in the states. Will you rush an urgent 3X-matched donation of $7 or more to help our party compete against Republican spending and defend our majorities in places like Pennsylvania and all over the country? If you've stored your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will process immediately. |
Our majority is on the line. We can’t waste a single moment. Thanks, Team DLCC

| | | We’re reaching out to ask you to make a 3X-matched gift of $7 to elect state Democrats before tomorrow’s end-of-month deadline. But first, here’s why your donation is so important: ➡️ State legislatures are the building blocks of our democracy. State legislators pass the policies that have the most impact on our day-to-day lives, from Medicaid expansion and affordable housing to living wages and paid family leave. By supporting our work, you are supporting state Democrats who will fight to BLOCK the GOP’s MAGA agenda and secure economic opportunity in places like your community and beyond. Donate to help block the MAGA agenda➡️ The DLCC is the only party organization dedicated to electing Democrats to statehouses nationwide. We’re working around the clock to build power in key target states. But we rely on grassroots donations from Democrats like you to put our strategy into action. Chip in to build power at the state level➡️ State Dems are facing competitive special elections right now, with over a dozen on the books. These races are critical opportunities for Democrats – and next month, we’re facing a majority-making race for a seat in the Pennsylvania House. Your investment could be the difference between victory and defeat. Help state Dems competeWith right-wing extremists in full control of the federal government, state legislatures are critical firewalls for our fundamental freedoms – but this ballot level is constantly underfunded and overlooked. That’s why we are reaching out to you directly: The fight for our future is happening in the states, and it’s happening now. We can’t win without you. Will you make a triple-matched donation before our fundraising deadline? If you've stored your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will process immediately. |
 | | | Friend, we're officially one month into Donald Trump's second term (we know, it feels a lot longer to us, too). | Trump's first month in office has been even worse than we imagined, from dozens of far-right executive orders and dangerously unqualified Cabinet picks like Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to Elon Musk's alarming power over our government and access to our private data. | As Donald Trump continues to unleash his extreme MAGA agenda, it's our continued duty to keep speaking out and fighting for our rights. That's why we're asking top supporters to grade Trump's first month in office – and we've personally selected you to represent your area in our live poll. | Please submit your response before our Trump report card closes at midnight:
How would YOU grade Trump's first month in office? | | Thanks for speaking out.
