Musician Manno G in European season.
Manno G,
renowned Brazilian musician, surprised the European community by opening his
first tour in Europe in mid-October 2023. The starting point was in Lisbon, at
the beautiful Associação Portuguesa de Poetas, where he enchanted the audience
with his voice and guitar in an acoustic show.
After his success in Lisbon, Manno G went to
Sintra, arriving at the Municipal Library. The intimate environment was perfect
for the musician to present his participation in the anthology
"Navegar", a book he released in Portugal. This work had the important
collaboration of Portuguese and Brazilian writers, which made the launch even
more special.
The tour continued in Viseu, a city rich in
culture and history. This time, Manno G performed at a cultural venue, where he
found an audience eager for his music and literary works. In this space, the
musician shared his new song "O Mundo Tá Tão Diferente(Hino da Paz)", composed
by R. Lima.
One of the strong points of this tour was
something that marked Manno G's career: his unique presentation, voice and
guitar in an acoustic style. This innovation, combined with the talent of the
northeastern rapper, guaranteed an exciting and intimate show wherever he went.
The main focus of this tour was to promote the
book "Navegar" and the new song by Manno G. Both works bring
reflections on life, love and peace. With his striking presence, Manno G
managed to captivate the European public, who were enchanted by his poetry and
musicality.
It is admirable to see a Brazilian artist
gaining ground in foreign lands, taking with him the cultural and literary
richness of our nation. Manno G showed the world the importance of navigating
through words, music and peace by sharing his unique and inspiring art.
Therefore, Manno G's first tour in Europe was an
absolute success. His shows, his book and his new music enchanted everyone who
had the privilege of witnessing his performances. May your journey continue to
bring light and inspiration, spreading the message of love and peace through
art.
About the artist
Germinio dos Santos
Andrade, independent Brazilian rapper, known as Manno G, representative of
northeastern culture, was born in the city of Itapebi in the south of Bahia and
has lived in São Paulo since he was 5 years old.
He started in music in
2001, portraying in his lyrics the achievements and sufferings of the people of
the Northeast, or immigrants from other places, expressing what it is like to
arrive in big cities and survive in them.
Manno G became a name in
the more 'traditional', 'Old School' RAP, featuring sounds that insert the
northeastern identity in verses and beats, with the influence of rhythms from
the region. The northeastern region has a very high level scene, which has been
strengthening year after year.
The musical genre was
unknown in the region, musicians from the north and northeast of the country
did not have access to the basics. In the beginning, the objective was to make
a sound that they could play in the car at full speed, going down the hill, so
the music became a challenge for Manno G.
The musician participated
in several social projects in the outskirts of São Paulo, among them, Hip HAP
de rua, was one of the founders of Coletivo Clã in the north of SP,
participating in the following compilations:
Reverse Record´s with
music from the Northeast to here/Mixtape volume 01 of the clan collective with
the song Quando eu aqui por aqui/First Rap Collection made in Ceara with the
song Jogo o Jogo part 1.
Manno G reproduces
northeastern culture, which is a true musical hotbed, and a large “stage” that
opens up space for various rhythms and artists.

|
|
| Brazil and the United States share long-established innovative partnerships in health, science, and biomedicine. Through direct investment and public-private partnerships, scientists have come together to fight viruses such as HIV / AIDS, Zika, and COVID-19. Now, for the first time in history, Brazil is initiating research in specific fields of healthcare and science – and has partnered with laboratories in the United States to finance brain cancer research through The Medulloblastoma Initiative (MBI), founded in 2021 by Brazilian Fernando Goldsztein. MBI has established an unprecedented partnership between laboratories and institutions in Brazil and the United States to operationalize funding for world-class medulloblastoma research, with every dollar raised directly invested in finding a cure. Considering this novel approach, the Brazilian-American Chamber of Commerce has united a group of medical experts, scientists, and business leaders to speak on Brazil-US exchanges and joint advancements made in health science and human medicine. The program will feature MBI Founder Fernando Goldsztein, who will share how MBI was created and his mission to fund pediatric cancer research. Mr. Goldsztein will be joined by Dr. Roger Packer, the Gilbert Distinguished Professor of Neurofibromatosis, who serves as Director of both the Gilbert Neurofibromatosis Institute and the Brain Tumor Institute of Children’s National Hospital. Dr. Packer is the lead investigator from a consortium of 13 laboratories funded by MBI and will share how this group is advancing in preparations to submit clinical trials to the US Food and Drug Administration in 2024. One of Brazil’s most successful entrepreneurs and Director of Instituto Ling, William Ling will share insights as one of MBI’s first supporters. Career diplomat and Head of the Consulate General of Brazil in Asunción, Paraguay, Otávio Brandelli will impart his experience building international awareness for MBI, combining science with an unparalleled business model that focuses on results that will change the future of humanity. Join us on this global journey to hear from pioneers leading and supporting Brazil-US health science partnerships and the extraordinary advancements they have achieved.

Right now, thanks to the Democratic trifecta that you helped elect in Michigan last year, abortion is legal. But across the country, that isn’t the case. Virginia – where Democrats are facing key elections in just 29 days – is now the only southern state without an abortion ban. We have got to fight like hell to protect the Virginia Senate majority and flip the House, because the future of abortion in the Commonwealth depends on it. I’m all in on protecting abortion rights, in Michigan and across the country. I hope I won’t have to spend the rest of my life fighting to defend abortion rights, but if I have to, I will. Virginia is the next battleground for abortion – and with voters already starting to cast their votes, we need to come together now. I’m counting on you. Will you join me and the DLCC ahead of Election Day on our mission to defeat MAGA Republicans by chipping in $7 or more? Let's fight like hell, Gretchen Gretchen Whitmer 49th Governor of Michigan

| | Friend, I just hopped off a last-minute call and needed to reach out right away: We fell short of our $100,000 end-of-quarter fundraising goal. | With Mitch McConnell and national Republicans ready to drop a fortune into this race to flip Nevada red, we can't afford to miss important goals like this. That's why I'm emailing to ask for your help.
If everyone reading this message chipped in $5 today, we could close our gap in minutes – but I know not everyone will, so I'm personally counting on you, friend: | Please, will you chip in a contribution to help us win in Nevada and defend the Senate? | Thank you,
Stewart Boss – Campaign Manager |

Virginia’s Republican Governor Glenn Youngkin: Tried to restrict access to the ballot box. Proposed a budget that gives the ultra-wealthy massive tax handouts. Pushed an extreme abortion ban that threatens doctors with jail time. Backed numerous bills targeting the LGBTQ+ community. Raised nearly $19 million this cycle from right-wing donors.
This is the Governor of battleground Virginia.
You’ve heard about this November’s competitive elections in Virginia, but we can’t stress enough how important they really are. The people of the commonwealth have lived under Gov. Youngkin’s extreme agenda for far too long, but in just 37 days, we finally have a chance to turn things around. The truth is: Glenn Youngkin’s despicable agenda will be the reality for the next two years if we don’t reclaim the House and defend our Senate majority. We’re only three seats away from flipping the state House – it’s within arms reach! Losing in Virginia means handing Republicans even more power to pass anti-democratic legislation and potentially roll back recent voting rights advancements. We need you to step up and make a donation of $7 or whatever you can to support Democrats in crucial races in states like Virginia → If you've stored your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will process immediately. |
With the help of grassroots donations last year, we were able to flip four chambers and expand Democratic power in ultra-competitive states. Now we have a chance to flip the Virginia House and defend our critical Senate majority, but it all relies on the support we build right now. Let’s take back Virginia, Team DLCC

| | 1️⃣ New Hampshire: The Board of Education voteds to allow extreme conservative curriculum in public schools In New Hampshire, state officials approved the inclusion of a controversial curriculum for public schools. The curriculum is made by PragerU, an overtly conservative advocacy organization that promotes right-wing viewpoints on various political, economic, and sociological topics → 2️⃣ Michigan: A sitting GOP representative’s history of threatening others with gun violence was brought to light In Michigan, amid Democrat’s ongoing fight for gun safety, the disturbing history of the House Minority leader has resurfaced. As a student, he sent emails threatening others with gun violence, alarming members and private citizens alike → 3️⃣ Missouri: Republicans threaten to burn books and call it “fun” In Missouri, following a flamethrower demonstration at what Republicans called a “Freedom Fest,” GOP state Sen. Bill Eigel said he would attack the woke liberal agenda and burn books if he had to. This rhetoric is dangerous, and a clear threat to our democratic ideals → 4️⃣ Court Watch: The U.S. Supreme Court refused to revive Alabama’s GOP-drawn Congressional map Following national criticism of Republicans’ unfair maps and partisan gerrymandering, this ruling is a win for voting rights and equal access to the ballot for the state of Alabama, just one of many states facing pressure from Democrats to get rid of biased Republican-drawn congressional maps → 🎉 Celebrate: Two key special election victories Democrats won two key special elections, flipping a must-win seat in New Hampshire and defending a tie-breaking seat in Pennsylvania! But with elections in states like Virginia and New Hampshire that have the power to make or break majorities this fall, we’re calling on grassroots Dems to help continue our winning momentum and power our candidates to victory →
Thanks to your unwavering support and dedication, we've achieved monumental victories in our pursuit of fair representation. The shining beacon of our progress burns brightest in the heart of Alabama, where we anchored our efforts and bore witness to the immense power of our collective resolve and the will of the people. Will you chip into All On The Line to help us keep up the fight? Recently, federal district judges declared that the legislature's proposed congressional map in Alabama was a woefully insufficient remedy to the illegal gerrymandering that has existed there for far too long. This decision marks a monumental stride towards fair representation, and it sends an unambiguous message -- attempts to diminish our rights as voters will be met with unyielding resistance. But, my friends, our work is far from done. In Georgia, for example, the fight for fairness continues on as we confront gerrymandered maps that dilute the voting power of communities of color. Our affiliate stands at the forefront of these critical redistricting challenges. Meanwhile, in Ohio, the shadow of truly epic gerrymandering looms ominously. Let me be unequivocal: we will not stand for unfair maps and the blatant disregard of Ohio voters. The voices of Ohioans and voters nationwide should not be drowned out by political anti-democracy maneuvering. We demand fairness, transparency, and a process that venerates the core principles of our democracy. Will you make a donation to All On The Line to help us keep up our momentum against gerrymandering? If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately: | | | | | | |
Whether it's mobilizing Ohio voters, securing a win in Alabama, or standing firm in the courts of Georgia, our movement is making history. However, there remains much work ahead. We need your unwavering support to ensure that every American's right to fair representation is safeguarded. Your support has proven to be critical to our fight year after year. And with your continuous support, I firmly believe we will forge a future where every voice resonates, where every vote holds weight, and where our democracy authentically mirrors the people it serves. Help us continue driving change that will echo through the ages. Make a donation to All On The Line today. ➡️ -- Eric H. Holder, Jr. All On The Line is the grassroots advocacy campaign supported by the National Redistricting Action Fund. Support our work to end gerrymandering.
